As it exhausted just in front of the tailwheel then surely it was for boost when in flight, and not to get off the ground!

I think a ‘Historic Commercial’ sub section has been discussed before, but was found to be little need for it as this forum covers both.

Understand what your saying James, but if you look at the ‘old uns’ thread in Commercial it is mostly supported by those with an interest / background in Commercial aviation. Much in the same way that many who post in Historic are ex RN / RAF / forces. It has to be argued that Historic as it stands contains mainly Military ‘stuff’, and attracts very little in the way of historic Commercial photos or ‘banter’.
So if it helps keep both parties happy my vote would be for a Commercial sub-forum in Historic.

Therefore i have taken the liberty to suggest such a proposal to the webmaster… for what its worth.! 🙂

Have to agree. Have always liked the look of the Dart Mustang. Just a shame it never actually flew like that. Maybe a nice little project for when the lottery numbers come up :).
