IWM display aircraft James, so static only.
From what i’ve seen the restoration of the Vampire T.11 must be one of the best on type for a long time. The attention to detail looks superb!
Some interesting Chipmunk items have been appearing of late.
I liked that Tony.. nice one.
And where is the Sturgeon screen now? Does it still exist?
I’m pleased to say that yes it does still exist.! 🙂
After seeing the photo of it in this thread, and some determined detective work on my part.. i managed to track down the owner in Scotland. One week later my offer was accepted. My son and i then embarked on a 14 hour 800 mile round trip to bring it back home with us.
The Short Sturgeon TT.2 / TT.3 fascinates me, just like another mostly forgotten navy type.. the Wyvern S.4.
Only 28 Sturgeons were built, but no complete one has survived. I already had a couple of original parts, so acquiring this section was an opportunity too good to miss.
So now parts project Sturgeon joins parts project Wyvern.
Remember seeing the name from time to time on posts. Sorry to hear he has passed away.
Blue skies fella.
Andover and Herald instrument panels
Stunned. Was watching him only yesterday lunchtime on football focus. 🙁
Condolences to all.

Or maybe a private collection.
Successful or not that is still an amazing aeroplane. And if i had been in the crowd i think i’d be clapping too (voluntarily) :).
Thanks for posting the links.
So where would these fit on the aircraft then?

Tony Agar’s Mosquito. Epic and simply outstanding!
Don’t think there is a separate link though.
