Very nice piece James. Must have been quite emotional for the son to be in the same aircraft at the same airfield as his late father had been all those years ago.
Also have to say those wartime colours kind of suit that Hornet Moth :).
James as i understand it the operation at Kemble is better equipped for removing sensitive equipment and the subsequent dismantling of the airframe into manageable loads!
Attending fireman has confirmed Mustang pilot bailed out and is ok. Was on the way to hospital for routine check up. Aircraft came down in a crop field about 300 yds away from and at the western end of Grange Rd, well away from people and property.
