Wasn’t it a chap called Roger Wilkie or something who owned an airworthy Whirlwind.. and maybe something else? I seem to remember a write up in Flypast about him and his collection… circa 1980’s.!
.. And this Wyvern VZ791, of which the pilot ejected after getting into difficulties. The aircraft carried on and landed itself in a field near Winchester. Pilot Lt J.P. Smith was unhurt.
