    I doubt that the P-47 will be ready next year, there’s still so much more hidden work left to do. An easier task would be to get the rest of the fleet re-catogorised as airworthy, no easy task in itself. Cheers C6

    The P47 and Blenheim surely look odds on for a return to flight next year. Shame the Beau won’t be joining them. Also be nice if the single seat Sea Fury finally makes it into the air… she seems to be taking forever.

    Absolutely.. just as well the Hali Fin ended up on the side of what looks like the only serviceable engine. Given the same situation now i wonder how many of us would of just taken to the silk rather than trying to fly that mess home… let alone land it as well. Hats off to the pilots of the time.

    Years back in the FP classifieds.. P51 Malcolm hoods for £45 each. Not my sort of thing but at that price a missed opportunity.!

    It is reported G-AWHB (ex-Southend, North Weald, Sandtoft, North Cotes) is under restoration to fly in Norfolk, but will head State side.

    Is that likely… i thought it was reported to of having serious corrosion issues.?

    She has to have both wing tips removed to be able to fit inside the T2.. hence why she spends most of the year outside. Although i believe its actually because the doors won’t open enough rather more than the span of the hangar.

    Oh mine asks for my opinion.. then disagrees with my answer. So why ask in the first place.?

    Also when she’s too tired to make love thats fine… but when i’m too tired i’m just being awkward.!
