I am up to date with that info thanks.. but in all the Gannet pics that i have and have seen none of them show this type of check being used. As Pagen says they are for the early Mk’s, as also suggested by the 1956 date, but this type of check appears to have had a short service life.!
P51 Mustang ‘Old Crow’ just flew in.
Yes, port outer has gone u/s.. again! Appears to be no time scale on her return back to the air as i believe another engine has to be sourced first (no reserve held).
hello, im writing to say that im the 14 year old who lightninglady999 (my mum) spoke about, im willing to answer any questions asked about XR770 as i worked on her to get her to this standerd and have learned alot about this incredible lightning off my father, david who has given me the priviledge of working on her.:D
Welcome to the forum Lightninglad. Its good to hear of a young teenager putting his time and energy into something constructive and worthwhile.. and also giving pleasure to others of similar interests. Keep up the good work as i’m sure mum and dad are dead proud of you.!;)
I’m not really sure.. and yes friday last year or the year before was rubbish. But as i don’t have to pay i cannot really complain.!:D
TFC 2 seat Seafury just landed after first flight.. looked and sounded absolutely fantastic.!!
Hmmm.. not sure you would feel the same if it was a display pilot laid out for all to see. There’s enough controversy about showing a crash, let alone a body.!

A pic might help
Would you be interested in a very early Mark 1 seat ?
.
Is it by any chance a MK1B ??
Good choices TBAB… but for me i would have to say the Sea Vixen. For sheer size, sound, features (folding wings, arr hook), raw power but also grace in the air it would take some beating. As for continental types the Mustang is high up the list but again for me the F7F Tigercat would take some beating.. and probably for the same reasons as the Vixen.!
My money is on a wayward protective cap left in an oil line or fitting….
Hmmm.. do you know something we don’t ZRX.? If not i’m sure we will all know the truth when Elly and co get to the bottom of it.
Victor, Vulcan or Shackleton AEW or MR leading.. after that the list is probably endless. Phantom, Lightning, Hunter, Canberra, Buccaneer, Javelin, Meteor, Vampire to name but a few.
But for me i would rather have a cold war Royal Navy Memorial Flight.. far more interesting.;):p
From the past… simply stunning.! (copyright Keith Hamshere).
?
Mr Langham.. how come you’ve got a portrait of my mother-in-law.?:p
