I have been experimenting with painting on surplus and dented fuselage parts.

You hav’nt been painting swastikas on bits of Dornier by any chance have you…:D

…and a TU-95, and a TU-154, and an AN-225, and a ……….:p

There is no way you’re going to see a Tu-144 alongside a Concorde, you’re dreaming…

Au contrair… think you will find this exact situation exists in Germany. Just wish it was here instead.!;)

There was an ex RAF Comet preserved.. in a national museum.. in this country.. and look what happened to that.
As i have said before its no good doing nothing until its virtually too late. If people on here really wanted to see this aircraft preserved then why did’nt anyone get the wheels in motion before now.. regardless of how long the base had before closure. Like the Victor at Marham, the Phantom at Brampton, and all others like them.. its a gate guard and as such always under threat of scrapping.

Do please prove me wrong.. but as regards actually doing something about saving this, it sounds like too little too late to me.!!
