Does that come standard with laptops? It’s windows XP, but i’ve been playing it in media player. Still had no luck
Ahah thats the one, cheers! Was it in ‘Aces High’? Got the film on DVD but don’t remember seeing either of those aircraft in the movie.
They never had cadets like that when I was in the ATC
Mine never did when i left a year and a bit ago!
Very nice, especially like the poster/artwork at the top of the page on the right on each different page
Any chance of it flying side-by-side with the new T.4?
Spoke to Malcolm, the chap looking after the Canberra at MAM and asked him, and he said it was lack of spares (something along those lines, was a few months back) preventing it from returning to the air, although now they have the trainer it might change if they get some spares with that
The ‘plastic pig’ is the only proper GR.1 left, of the other two, the Scotland GR.1 is more of a GR.3, looks just like one, and the Bristol one was used in some sort of tests, and believe it has some bits missing
Can’t believe it… he was a part of Duxford, and the whole UK aviation scene, airshows won’t be the same without him, thoughts with his family and friends
Man, if only i had my car i’d be down there with you helping out – fingers crossed for March though!
The non-mentioning of the Miles project got on my nerves the most, as did other mentions about british failures and not successes. The episode last week about the land speed record was basically the same, american ‘we’re the best, screw the brits’.
Yeah would be great to have one of the civvie Argosy’s undercover, possibly two, however at Cov money is a big factor, you’d need one heck of a huge building to get the Argosy undercover, and at East Midlands Aeropark they can’t build a building because the residents would complain – probably the same people who complain about jet plane noise even though they moved next to an airport
Oops sorry, should have read the thread all the way through before replying. Any chance of them coming home? Would be nice to have more Argosy’s
Hmmm, it’s not only going to cover the 1950’s-60’s is it, and focusing on the american efforts like last weeks? Somehow managed to miss out the Bluebird 1967 land speed record by Donald Campbell
In the UK – none. The only ones left in the UK are the two civil DHL ones at Midland Air Museum and East Midlands Aeropark, as well as the RAF one at Cosford, and i think a civilian one at a dump in Scotland (?)
As far as i know, all the foreign Argosy’s are civilian as well
Very nice, if I had the money i’d buy her – and put her in AOP markings!
