    Wow, that Walrus landing on the flight deck sure is unusual, would have thought they’d have landed in the sea and be craned in

    Problem is, that as far as i know, there are only two complete Bostons/Havocs remaining, at the USAF museum and the RAAF museum, and i doubt they are likely to give up theirs. If i get in contact with the owner of the ‘Barwell Boston’ i’ll see if he would be willing to give his front fuselage to the RAFM – may not be a complete one but better than nothing

    Barwell is literally in my back garden (my street is on the border of two towns which have merged) so i’ll do some investigation and let you know, if it around here it’s within two miles of my house so shouldn’t take that long to find! Have an inkling as to where it is as well.

    Edit – my dad says its on Hinckley road in Barwell, which is literally down the road from me! I’ll send him a letter or try and get his number, if possible arrange to see the boston and let you lot know

    Near me in Barwell, land of chavs who smash up cars (including mine) theres a Boston front section, haven’t been able to contact the guy that owns it yet, think its the Boston association or something like that.

    I doubt they’d hype it up, and i have no doubt she is brave. If you ask me, the media coverage is a good thing, hopefully it will mean more people donate to cancer charities and help cure this disease soon

    For anyone interested, the flight split up because of illness/other commitments/loss of license and people moving abroad etc. This is what happened to the aircraft;

    Auster I – Henstridge
    Auster III – Eggesford (this is G-AREI, marked as MT438)
    Auster V – sold, possible abroad
    Auster VI – not sure, owned by Edward Tait
    Auster 9 – Eggesford, sadly the owner died

    Hmmm, wonder how much that money could have gone to feed the human survivors of Katrina, or get them out of there

    Jail sentence including constant beatings, sleep deprivation etc, then death – if anyone says thats harsh, i say its not harsh enough, there is no right whatsoever to take the life of an innocent person

    True, a bit of torture couldn’t hurt though (well, maybe for them!)

    Started work the other weekend, wasn’t that bad! On friday night theres almost nothing to do, spent the last half an hour (the shop had closed) just standing around doing nothing at all! Saturday was more busy, real satisfying when i get to go home though, can’t wait for my paycheck to come through at the end of the month, i’m currently drawing up a list of things to buy, so far i’ve only got driving lessons and a 1/48 Auster
