How do you? I registered, clicked on the tickbox that says ‘order’ but it just went back to the homepage! Might put about £20 on it – got paid the other day.. never know, might win!

Very nice – the T2 Jag would go well with the GR1 at Brunty – i’ll even help look after it!

Yeah sure about that on the wwiireenacting.co.uk forum, will we see it tearing around Brunty when it’s done? Cool vehicles, i want one!

Would be a very nice idea, as well as the Leicestershire Country Council owned Austers, they could also let Auster owners keep their aircraft there for free, as long as they let them be on display in a hangar…. ahh i can dream

The first couple of shots are of the Northrop A-17, and it is the only one left of its type.
The finish on it is absolutely stunning, and the lighting emphasises that!

Cheers, looks an awful lot like the Chance Vought Vindicator

Very nice, what is the first aircraft? Looks like a Douglas something (Devastator i think) but i thought only one was left?

Cheers, i’m not entirely sure what to do yet – MAM or Air Atlantique volunteering is also an open option as well, as is Brunty, it’s not fair having so many interesting organisations nearby where i could help out!

Would be nice to have another Royal Navy ship being restored – not many left from WWII. There’s a WWI monitor (M33 I believe) at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, too.

I’m planning to volunteer as soon as possible – just waiting to get my driving license and car, and then it’s off to Duxford to help on the Beau!

    Ow! That’s horrible!

If you’d like a decent Auster kit, there’s a 1/48 scale kit of an Auster III by Sword. I supplied some of the references for the patternmakers, and backing up some of the comments above, sales were disapointing, hence no further kits have been released to date.

    Details: http://modelingmadness.com/scotts/allies/gb/austerpreview.htm

Hallam Vac did an Auster AOP9 vacform 1/72 whichyou can get if you hunt around.

Took the plunge and bought the 1/48 Sword kit today (finally got paid), does anyone know how to contact Sword Models so i can nudge them about the 1/72 version? I much prefer 1/72 scale

G- reggies are re-used, there used to be a DH Comet (Airliner) with the reg G-AREI, now that registration belongs to an Auster III

Cheers, in the first pic it looks like it has a ‘British Airtours’ fin!
