Looking fwd to seeing how this one has turned out, had great fun playing the “Baron” himself in Paul and Sarah Fords Triplane.
Going to the pre screening next Wednesday so should be able to let you know how good it is!
J Boyle, apart from flying modern replica’s they also went and did some flying down at OW;) Lets not start ripping it to bits before its even been seen:rolleyes:
Maybe see you there – a year ago I missed the premiere of something else I starred in, so would be bad form for me to miss another!
At last! Almost a year after the two day segment at Old Warden was filmed. Watch out for Air Mechanic Langham
I’m not sure what ‘changing roundel’ means, it’s always been blue outside, red inside, ever since they changed it from the Union flag near the end of 1914.
I wouldn’t bother – its rubbish. It is also very confused regarding the sequence of history and the aircraft that historical figures flew in (especially Lanoe Hawker) 🙁
Mike
I was also surprised to ‘learn’ that Lanoe Hawker was a fat bloke with a goatee
What original buildings that are being left to ruin?
He used some of them in a 12 minute film to test out a new type of camera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpTHFVBlm_A
As oppsed to Goshawk Squadron, there’s plenty of true, far more interesting stories out there which would make a great film – ‘Flying Minnows’ for example
As for Red Baron, complete waste of time
QANTAS have a large fleet and they have not killed a soul yet!
No one mentioned the Me 262 and FW 190’s?
I’m ‘Yoof’ as well, but I don’t need historic aircraft hung from the ceiling in random attitudes or a big weird building to learn about a battle.
I am sure it will become known as Dye’s Folly.
Hmm, ‘Fopp’s Folly’ would have had such a better ring to it a few weeks back!
I know three of those in the photograph – I was approached as well, and was told they were going to ‘get back to me’ about dates…. still haven’t heard anything!
Blimey, when I heard the Fairey Battle was going to get strung up around a staircase in a new building I thought it was a mis-heard rumour gone wrong. Looks like it may have been right…
No mention of training, but rather just to give it something to do rather than sit around at Paris
Looks good, aircraft don’t have to be designed to kill people to be interesting!
What happened with the relocation of the Rapides down to Goodwood with Plane Heritage? Their website’s down
Oh good, now we can twiddle our thumbs whilst we lose out on traffic and all the aircraft fly around in pretty little circles whilst waiting for a chance to land
