    I read somewhere that the river crossing sequence in the canvas boats, led by Robert Redford, was actually done by the Poles.

    Sure your not confusing it with the attempt by the Polish airborne troops to cross the Rhine at night? That’s shown later on in the film, sadly didn’t work out though

    My dad asked that too – i figured it must be either America or Canada, as as far as i know there are no Lanc’s under restoration here, even though the guy in the interview seemed to have a Brit accent.

    Are there any more choppers being restored to fly or anything like that? Would be great to see a Whirlwind or Wessex e.t.c. at an airshow

    When the oil runs out i would have thought all helicopter operations would end, if theres nothing to fuel them with or keep the moving parts properly greased and lubricated if need be.
