Ah that’s the one, cheers!
That’s the one in Ireland, right? Beautiful chopper, i’d love to see one fly one day
Ah i think i remember the one, do they get Baltimore/Maryland’s later on? Watched it one bored afternoon
I read somewhere that the river crossing sequence in the canvas boats, led by Robert Redford, was actually done by the Poles.
Sure your not confusing it with the attempt by the Polish airborne troops to cross the Rhine at night? That’s shown later on in the film, sadly didn’t work out though

Was thinking that too, will be very odd there
Which Lanc was shown under deep restoration in the background of some of the interviews??
Cheers
My dad asked that too – i figured it must be either America or Canada, as as far as i know there are no Lanc’s under restoration here, even though the guy in the interview seemed to have a Brit accent.
Really, where? Apparently theres tons of stuff at Brunters you don’t get to see on open days, i think theres even a Spitfire somewhere.
Strange, could swear i posted in this topic…. must have been deleted for some random reason. Interesting webpage blackwolf3645, i like the Tu-16 Badger copy
Are there any more choppers being restored to fly or anything like that? Would be great to see a Whirlwind or Wessex e.t.c. at an airshow
Ah yeah, more than i thought, really must brush up on my naval history. Seen the Barham film clip loads of times on TV

When the oil runs out i would have thought all helicopter operations would end, if theres nothing to fuel them with or keep the moving parts properly greased and lubricated if need be.
