The prices at Duxford have already made me stop going, before i even started! The price is way too high, i’d rather go to a smaller show for a fraction of the price and see some of the aircraft i want, and actually get close to them as well.

Yep, was a pretty good idea though. I’d personally be very happy with going there and seeing all three V bombers out in the open before they get moved in, although i doubt i’ll pass my driving test and get my car before that.

Yep, Belfast is one of the central aircraft in the Transport command section. Although a lot of people are criticising the new building, personally i think it’s a great idea, and it will give more views of the aircraft than of them in a hangar.

When your only 5 foot 5, an Argosy IS huge, hehe. I really like the whistling wheelbarrow, so i’ll be glad to see her undercover, if only the Midland Air Museum and East Midlands Aeropark one could be brought undercover one day.

Cheers for telling me about the Comet, didn’t know she was around, must pay her a visit sometime, love Comets 😀

Nope was on about Comets in general, as the Duxford one is currently outside, but due to go back in. Didn’t realise there was a Comet at Wroughton, which one is this? It’ll be three Varsitys under cover with the Duxford one being restored at Airspace when it opens. Will be interesting to see an Argosy undercover, they are huge aircraft!

I think what Dhfan meant was moving the aircraft around from the hangars at the top and at the bottom. Haven’t been Cosford for a while, but i would have thought an aircraft not relatively wide would be able to brought down the road between the entrance and the Divided World exhibition.

Oh, and by ‘drag’ i meant bring down, towed down by tractor e.t.c., locally we say ‘drag’ as in ‘drag it over here’ when we mean bring something over here.

Very nice, thanks. I love the look of Hurricanes, especially with the early pointy DH Prop and spinner

Would have thought you’d be able to drag aircraft like TSR2, Spitfire, Meteor e.t.c. out from the top hangars and bring them down, but nothing too much larger than the Mossie without having to take wingtips off or even more

Just got back from The Victory Show, the Mustang, Thunderbolt and Spitfire have been turned back because of bad weather over Duxford

Yeah she looks very sad outside the AAM. Hopefully she’ll be restored in hangar 5 before too long, perhaps after the Viscounts done.

Brilliant, how big is it? Can’t wait to go, not sure which day i’m going. Were there many british vehicles or anti aircraft guns?

It would be great publicity if you got press photographers there, and material for them to use when the exhibition opens.

Wow didn’t realise there was a Huey on the display circuit, sure is unique and interesting. Shame there aren’t more old choppers airworthy, i believe theres an old Whirlwind HAR.10 flying in Ireland, shame that isn’t brought over here for a bit
