Has Russia been exhausted of most of it’s warbirds then? Shame, i was hoping for a few more Hurricanes to turn up
Thanks for clearing that up, although it’s innacurate i much prefer it being a car door Tiffie, i like the look of them like that.
Great to here you enjoyed it, looking forward to the pics
Yep, the Varsity’s i know of undercover are Newark at the moment, and when Cosford is completed the Varsity there in a hangar and when Airspace is completed theirs being restored, i believe the Victor and Varsity are first up to be restored.
I didn’t mean see the V bombers together, i meant see them all complete outside, i.e. with the Valiant by the conservation centre and the Vulcan and Victor where they presently are
Don’t think so, two of them were built too, boy this is a tough one
Nice, good to see something a bit different! Love the look of the Merlin, hopefully i’ll be crew on one in the next two years, fingers crossed! Is the Sopwith Triplane also from the ‘Fly boys’ film?
That’s what i thought, two were built and as far as i know it wasn’t a VTOL aircraft. Does look identical to it though, and i’m completely stumped as to what else it may be!
Love the Sea Hawk shot, very good. Also like the Catalina photo, can’t wait to see her in her new colours some time.
With a pointed nose? No, sorry! But you’re vertical thinking is correct!
Hmmm, knew it was something vertical from your hint earlier and thats the closest look-a-like i could find! I’ll be back with a new idea before long 😉
Nice pics, excellent effect on the Chinook! Is the Spitfire supposed to be matt? Looks a bit shabby, but very interesting i might add. Shame the Spitfire didn’t make it to the Victory Show because of bad weather over Duxford, i think it was MH434 that was supposed to turn up.
They sure are huge inside, i remember going inside the Cov one many years back and couldn’t believe how big it was, if you think it looks big from the outside wait until you get inside it!
Reminds me of a guy with an amazing collection of British airborne vehicles, artillery e.t.c. in South East England, i know people that know him, and although they themselves have strong interests in British Airborne stuff, they haven’t been invited once despite asking several times, beats me why you’d collect loads of stuff and not let anyone see it, then again, it is yours so i guess you can do what you like with it
Great, looks fun!
Personally i think they are very interesting aircraft and it should be saved, forerunner of one of the few british civilian jets still flying, and in military service for the Queens Flight
