I think the Cosford exhibition will be great, sure the building isn’t that good but it means all V bombers will be in the same building, and aircraft like the Belfast, Vulcan and Victor will be under cover (I think this will make it the only undercover Victor). Also, it’s about time there was a museum with an area properly dedicated to the Cold War, seeming as most preserved aircraft seem to come from that era.
Cheers, think i’ll go for the 1/600 kits, £20 plus for a 1/1200 kit is way too much for me!
What are the actual chances of a warbird being found in one of those countries and brought back to England or another country where it could be restored, to static at least? Personally i’d love to see more Hurricanes, but any would be good news.
Oh by the way TT, the Martin Maryland and the Baltimore are believed to be extinct, sadly.
What model company makes the ‘Empire Darwin’? Been looking for a decent CAM ship.
Ahah cheers, interesting souvenir! Bit like those bits of wrecked Hurricanes and Spitfires made into keyrings – anyone know where you can get these from? I hope no one died in the crashes
What does it say? I can’t read what it says for hammer, was wondering about it myself.
Very nice, hope to go their soon as well.
Nice, do you know if it’s flying? Looks like they’re making a sound job of it.
Personally i think the building looks alright, beats the look of the old superhangar and i’d much rather lottery money go on something like this than another ‘Angel of the North’ monstrosity. Then again i’ve only played the lottery twice so i’m not paying for it :p
Wow, great to have a veteran on the forum. It’s good to see that in America people still treat vets with the respect they deserve, sadly it seems to be lacking here in England, hopefully i can show some war veterans that the young generation DO care, whenever i get the chance to meet them.
Well i was born in 1988 so i was a bit late…. don’t know how anyone could fall for it though! Then again i did manage to persuade a friend i was going on a trip to Africa to hunt wild animals and if we got bored the local air force would let us borrow some fighter jets to chase the animals down…
Crikey, took one quick look and nearly shouted to my dad that the Red Arrows would be there! Still, according to East Midlands Today (BBC News) a Tornado will take off and give a display!
B-24/privateer on the moon?! What’s that about?
Cheers, hopefully the Buccaneer won’t screw up and spew fuel all over the place like on a previous year! Can’t wait to see the Hunter and Victor go.
Whoa…. a surreal sight, Stormbird262 will love that pic!
