Silverjet, who flew 767’s to Newark and Dubai?
The two sets of wings propped up against the T2 hangar wall at Leicester were both off Austers, unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of them when I was there
wl745, are you registered on that forum? As well as other aviation stuff, I do a lot of Royal Flying Corps living history – working with the RAF Museum, doing documentaries etc, and as I usually do it as an Air Mechanic, the RFC technical notes would be of great use and interest for myself
Just beware the effects of cabin pressure!! :diablo:
Or just good ole’ G force – brings back memories of trying to pee in a Nimrod whilst twisting about at low level, seeing it actually go up instead of down was rather disconcerting 😮
They’re trying to be a one type airline, like Ryanair etc. Although the acquirement of A320’s and A321’s through absorption messed it up a bit, they’re still the same family of aircraft
A superb idea, and it would be good if it happens – only problem is though, it won’t, or if it does, we’ll all be long dead and buried by the time it opens
Ta daaaah
Nifty bit of kit – what did it start life as?
The Beech Restorations hangar will be open, with a range of merchandise for sale – i’ll be posting up some photos of our new range nearer the event when it’s sorted
Judging by the colour and location, the target drone that sits in between them
That’s the Stirling
Speaking of Fairey Battle, does anyone know of when the RAFM’s Battle will be back on display? Be interesting to see where they put it, as it’s previous position is now occupied by the FE2b
Looking forward to it, here’s to some good weather!
No problem. I’ll sell you a fully airworthy Clutton FRED for ten thousand pounds less than that! :diablo:
No thanks, I spend too much time on my hair in the morning for a FRED! Although if it was the BE2 for the same price i’d be interested…. :diablo:
