I see a fatal flaw in this plan – banning something isn’t going to stop a criminal from using it! ‘Oooo de-activated guns are now illegal so it’s against the law if I use one to commit a crime, what am I going to do now?!’

Can’t exactly walk into a bank with an SMLE tucked down your trousers anyway

Whatever you do, don’t take him to Hendon! The annoying talking cockney woman in the Battle of Britain hall still freaks my brother out after about eight years of visiting

my thoughts today haven’t extended beyond what sandwich i fancy for lunch.

I think this forum should be streamed – you go to the top set, I stay with the dunces and smoke fags behind the bike sheds! (and beat up all the swots) :p 😀

For those thinking of doing the course at London Met starting in September, don’t bother! Been here half a year and it’s awful, i’m dreading going back down to London in a few days time. I’ve barely learnt a thing, partly due to one of the teachers not turning up for four lectures already. The University itself is rubbish, if i’m honest the whole University experience for me is a disaster – the accomodation is very poor, and the University itself so bad that half of my mates will have left by the end of the year, and i’m desperately trying to find another University to transfer to

Ah right, that’s the F.9/40 at Cosford. The paint scheme is incorrect, it should be in grey/green

Not quite as interesting as the other discussion, but the large factory building in the background of the Beverley/Nord photo is currently being demolished

I know it’s an old thread but it saves starting an identical one, plus this one has photos! Got ‘The Lighthorsemen’ on DVD for christmas and wondered what the aircraft was – any idea? By the way, the tanks are replicas of Mk IV’s not Mk I’s, and considering they’re only briefly shown they’re very good!

Thanks for the pics – any idea what the car in the corner is? Looks like one of those modern look-a-likes that don’t actually look like anything, but that’s what I thought about a Lancia Lambda at a VSCC race once!

Probably because of the high level of traffic in the Thames, plus the last place i’d want to dive in is the Thames with all the nasty stuff in it, especially the odd decomposed corpses that turn up about once a day

And at Mallory in August – the inscription above the exhausts says it all!

Gordon Bennett! Not an aircraft, but three Napiers were the first cars wear British Racing Green, in the Gordon Bennett race, albeit in a much lighter shade than BRG tends to be nowadays. One of them is in the National Motor Museum
