Hmmmm seems they needed to practice the Roll out thingy, 558 is outside, nope now it’s in again…oooops sorry it’s run back out once more, maybe got fed up with the biscuit and bins thingy.

Haha that’s true, had a look at the forum the other day, it hardly gives off a good impression to potential sponsors/donators. Funny how no-one’s replied to the topic someone started about what will happen after the 31st August if the money isn’t available, i’ve got a pretty good idea though :diablo:

Cheers, ideally i’ll get down on some form of personal transport but it looks like i’ll be staying the night, even if I do get a motorbike/scooter it’d probably be easier to come down on Saturday night. Cheers for the offer Damien, early starts no problem for me!

Cheers mate – by the way, do any busses go from Northampton to the airfield? Unless i’ve got my scooter (no chance of me getting a car for a while), looks like i’ll be training it down

REally good but who owns that plane and why are they putting ASDA on it

It’s owned by the Waltons who own Bruntingthorpe – it had the asda livery put on (one side only) for the ASDA charity day at Brunty yesterday, don’t know about the green bits, but the writing is only stickers

Poster says ‘Aeroboot’ anybody been there before know whats usually on sale ? Is it mainly aircraft parts, books, model kits ? Who do you contact about a selling ?

Bit of everything really. At the LPG day there were a few stands selling corgi stuff and model kits, one (I think) selling aircraft bits, and a few more selling books. As for contacting about selling, i’m not sure, anyone else at Brunty help out?

What time roughly is the first run?

Probably about 1100 or 1130

Looking on the internet, looks like the members of public can go as well, looks like there will also be a Tiger Moth (?) and the Utterly Butterly lot will be there as well – if the Utterly Butterly girls land, I think Beech Restorations will be taking care of them, so hands off! 😉 😀

Blimey, they painted that quick, the lettering wasn’t on when I left Brunty at about four on Saturday (told the Beech guys it was for Asda, looks like I was right!). By the way, on Sunday, one of the flying attractions (probably the only one, I don’t know) will be the Yak 18 HA-YAK from Stoke Golding, anyone that saw Tim display it at the Baxterley wings and wheels display can vouch for how good he is! Does anyone know if the charity day is open to members of public, or just Asda employees and families?

Finally updated the website, don’t have much information ie aircraft running times (although it could just be run when they do, as everyone knows running orders don’t tend to survive the first run!). Just hope the weather’s good now…

Photo I uploaded of me about to skydive has dissapeared off the internet now and can’t find it on the laptop, so here’s me (closest to the camera, in the blue shirt) in Auster III MT438 a couple of Saturdays ago. Cheers to Derek (ChampMagic) for taking the pic, hope you don’t mind me posting it here
