Well thats a good way to get yourself in prison…
Will the authorities let the 262 fly over here? Seem to remember something about them stopping any of the ME262’s built in the US from being based here
The RAF does their own magazine http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/london/raf-magazine/ I bought the first copy which was alright, seems to me to be targetted at the teenage audience to get them to join up

A pretty well hung Jet as well!
Thanks for the information, and very interesting to hear about the new acquisitions – the razorback Jug and the P40b especially!
P39 or P63
Ah, forgot about them! Get’s my vote for president of the RAF Museum as well, as long as he turns up the lights in the Bomber Command Hall, has the Grahame-White hangar open and has the lights on properly in the Battle of Britain Hall for a bit in between the shows (times i’ve been it was only half-lit during the interval, pants for photography)
Since when is a postwar Shturmovik more important to the RAFM than the Venture in store. Have they forgotten about Sqnldr Trent who won the VC during the famous raid in May 1943 in Holland?
Anyway, apart from that any deal that releases a Spitfire from storage is a good deal.
Cees
Would be great to have the Ventura on display, but I reckon the reasoning it isn’t is because of the Hudson is on display, so if visitors saw two on display, even if the Ventura was on display at Cosford, may seem to them like repetition (and wouldn’t be surprised if there were arguments on here that two similar aircraft were on display when one of them could be replaced by a more interesting airframe!)
Didn’t know Flambards ever had a Wigeon, is this the one now in the Helicopter Museum?
TT’s is probably the best explanation, could always have been a real torpedo dropped by accident – remember watching a documentary about the Swordfish, an an old pilot was in history after a crash (I think), when a dummy concrete torpedo crashed through the roof at landed at the foot of his bed, apparently he then passed out into the nurses readily available bosom! (Great excuse!)
Pic at the bottom of the page of the Wonderland Lightning, with an FSM Hurricane as well
Sounds good to me, anyone know which Spit they’re swapping for it?
Are you lot actually daft enough to think it was actually urine embellished?
Get a strong feeling a lot of the stuff is set up to happen, still good show though (mmmm Jag XK8)
