My initial thoughts were if this were a turbo-prop or the seat belt signs were illuminated, fine that’s one thing. But it was a cruising A320.

What difference does it make if it were a Turbo-Prop??

Scottish Aviation was a subcontractor for Handley page building wings and centre sections for the Jetstream. When HP failed they took over the Jetstream and re engineered it into the 31 so perhaps that marque could be considered Scottish enough.

It implies the Twin Pioneer was the only all Scottish type but there was of course the Prestwick Pioneer

The first all Scottish heavier than air aeroplane was the Baird Monoplane.

lots of line crossed here including the woman who complained about the name

A dwarf is not a midget

Dwarf is a normal sized person with very short arms and legs…a midget is a normal proportioned person of small size.

But most folks get that wrong..even references miss understand largely

    Global Warming is irrelevant

    The real issue is pollution.

It almost seems that if population is warming the planet it must stop but if it’s not then it’s OK to carry on regardless.

Pollution is nasty and poisonous but a by product of the way we live.

Everything needs to be done to reduce and control it

If it is causing warming then that will stop, if not, then no change on that score but we all might be able to breathe easier.

Whatever the thoughts on GW, it is a pollution problem and that is something that will always need pressure to reduce and control as much as possible.

So lets not look for excuses not to change and make the changes anyway for all our sakes.

He’s not pushing for it to be given to the poor

He is saying it’s wrong it should just be thrown away and perhaps it could be offered to the poor.

In some media it’s being made to look like he’s saying “Here eat this” when all he is saying is “I’m going to have to throw this away…unless you’d like to have it.””

    Big difference.

There are several pics of the A.330 on delivery in the old livery.

That was painted before the “makeover” was announced.

You can’t read too much into this

American have just had some brand new Boeing 737’s delivered in the last week or so in the old livery.

If the new livery is to happen, it may not yet be officially launched.

Blimey…all I want to do when I fly is look out of the window.

It would be great if they go ris of all that expensive equipement plus the fancy seats etc and reduced the seat pice.

No point at all as the whole concept of military is to use cutting edge technology to be ahead of the enemy.

Odd how people try and argue the point

It’s the law and that’s final, it has to be adhered to in just the same way as airlines have to adhere to the law.

    Rules is rules.

I do hope they have to pay for the diversion (as a drunk once had do on a Dan Air flight) and also cough up for all the hotels rooms for the other passengers.

Like with everything else, if they don’t have to the rest of will one way or another.
