2 Big antonov’s came in. SP-Max came from germany and HA-ANI from the Netherlands
There was also a nice painted Zlinn which came from germany:
As always, a lot of piper planes attended during the day. Here comes a selection:
Almost forgot this (as I was so pleased to bring the Lissy news 😉 )
The SOT have currently some more projects. They are busy with two DH82a tigermoths. One of them is almost ready. The team has a restored and running Gipsy Major for the machine. I’ve seen pics of its recent engine tests.
Next to al tis, the team has a Lockheed Lodestar. This restoration to airworthy condition will start when the Lysander is completed. This project will be a big challenge because they never worked on a plane with such a size. It is a project that might take some years to complete and it is intended to paint it in SABENA colours when it is completed.
So you can’t say they don’t have great plans!

Great news! Here’s to seeing a pair of Lysanders in formation over Duxford again at Legends 2005. 🙂
Yep, would be a nice thought for the next Legends. Let’s hope the plane get’s ready in time. But I think it is great news that the SOT are still active and capable of bringing this beauty back! I think in the far future, there could be a formation of to Lysanders and 2 Gladiators. Wouldn’t that be nice. 😎 But I don’t think TFC gladiator is going to fly in time for the Legends 2005 😮 .

With that pic of merlin70 and a bit of browsing at the G-info site, you can find all the things you want to know about it. 😉

Why did you feel better after reading that? I feel sorry for that poor guy. 🙁
Good for you that you didn’t have a off-day. Did you take that test by any chance. If so, I am curious to see that one too! :p

On the machines of Mr. Lacey, a lot of info can be found in the Flypast August 2004 issue in the section: from the workshop where you can read recent news about for example his stieglitz, which is currently being put together after a major inspection and a replacement of corroded parts.

Thanks Kenneth. My meet with this tiger dates from around 1984-1986. So it could be right. If it is from the early birds foundation, maybe I’ll be able to see it at the oldtimer fly-inn at schaffen diest this weekend. I will look out for it. Thanks.

Nice to see that tiger moth franck! Does anyone know anything about this plane. I think I have a pic of this machine where I am standing in front of it. I was about 4 years old at that time. Any info is welcome!
Good to see it back after so long!
