Thanks Merlin 70. We will need to look out for that crank case. I hope they can fix the problem in time to see her fly this year. I can’t wait to see her! 🙂

I am glad you got your scanner up and running Mark. I hope you can share more pics that come out of a box. Very nice!

Talking about a rare sight. After the Wings and wheels show here in belgium, the Red fouga MT40 (as seen above) of the Belgian Airforce had to be flown back to its homebase. Another Fouga came to Ursel with a pilot. This was Belgian Airforce Fouga MT35 in a silver sheme, used by the BAF during the seventies. The two fouga’s departed together and gave a demonstration of close formation flying overhead the field. It was a joy to see this! 🙂 Sadly, I did not have my camera with me, so I couldn’t take any photo’s  . But they still fly here and I also hope to see another display (when I don’t forget my camera) before they retire.

Talking about IAC161? Does anyone know the latest on the project? Has the merlin returned from the USA? How is the restoration proceeding? I am looking out for some good news on this aircraft.

    Thanks

I can only add one thing. The Bucker Bu133C SN 051 that he has bought several months ago is still in Belgium. It was still at Kortrijk Wevelgem when I was there last saturday.

Sad for the french team as Zidane is in my opinion their best player. It may take some time before we can see such a talented player in the french national team again.

    Good luck!

It is nice to see such a unusual paint on that twoseater. In which race did this spit compete? And was it succesfull?

Accidents are sometimes caused by little mistakes or by ‘unforgivable’ faults and neglectance. Very sad… 🙁

Just a shame he lost the Gmax source files! 🙁

That explains a lot. I didn’t understand why he had not produced any new spits for FS2004. That is bad news indeed. 🙁

Thanks for those additions MK959. It’s good to see that the spit is still alive and running.

Great sham that Mr Russel wants to keep his toys to himself. Having recently visted the CWM at Hamilton I would have thought that its location would have been far more approperiat place to keep his collection.

    DOUGHNUT

I would like to see it more often too. But its already a big relieve that she still looks so fine. 🙂

This afternoon the Cat left Valkenburg NAS to receive its “paint” at AMS. It will emerge in the livery of a MLD Catalina. BW Roger

Good to see that the minor technical problems are solved. Its good to see her fly Roger. 🙂

Great link Mike. I didn’t know there was a list of surviving yak 11’s. I’ll start to browse that list quickly!
