Another Belgian arrival was morane MS 733 OO-MCL:
Now, the first real oldtimers arrived. This was the Flying Legends group which came in with 5 of its vintage biplanes. sorry for the poor pic, but there where bad weatherconditions to take pics during the weekend.
From left to right:
Boeing Stearman OO-USN, Stampe SV4c OO-LYR, Stampe SV4d OO-SVT, DH82a Tigermoth OO-TGM and the unique VL Viima II OO-EBL:
We had bad weather on saturday morning, but it got better during the day. First to arrive was Yak 52 G-CBSR. This yak made its first public appearance after a landing accident at its homebase kortrijk wevelgem same earlier this year:
Next to arrive after a 7 hours trip was this nice piper L4b from germany.
And next to come from the netherlands was this yak 52 RA1771K:
On friday august 6th, another marchetti flew in to stay during the weekend:
Later in that day, Harvard MKIV G-BRLV was towed out in open air to be placed at the display platform. This harvard flew in from North Weald on july 21st to attend the event.
As support for the fouga, these to Marchetti’s came in for a short visit:
We must enjoy the displays of the Belgian Fouga. Next year (2005) is its final season as the fouga will end its servicelife with the Belgian Air Component in october 2005. 🙁 So, I am glad you could see one Mike.

Just Flight frequently disappoint.
Their Mosquito Sim banged on about ‘Authentic recreation of Methwold airedrome’
Bollox.
IT never had just two runways at 90 degrees to eachother and the attempt to model the nearby village (promised again for Duxford, I see) was laughable.
I think their marketing people are tons better than their historical researchers.

I hope this pack is good because it is actualy designed together with Aeroplane heaven and they have provided realy superb addons for FS. I hope they don’t break with their tradition.

Stieglitz – is the poor pilot pulling the handbrake to avoid hitting the photographer in that second shot!?
Love the Magister, a unique shape, and a past Biggin highlight!
No, that smoke came after the shut-down of its engines. Nice isn’t it? 😎
Yep, I lalso ike the magister. Very nice aircraft. See these pics I took at Ursel this afternoon of this Fouga which is still in service with the Belgian Airforce:

There are around 178 original Tiger moths and a few replica’s registred on the UK register. Some of them are not airworthy. I think it will be hard to get a number worldwide. Let’s just say a lot of them have survived! 😉

Nice pics, I also need sunglasses to look at them! 🙂
