Yes, I thought it would be a nice finnishing touch.
Hello!
The silver Messerschmitt 109 is the H.A. 1109 of the EADS (Messerschmitt Stiftung). The plane is not flyable and is only for static displays. On my website you can see more photos of this plane:

Falcon
Its also good to recieve this info of the Me109 falcon109. Now I can be relativly shure that it is EADS Me109-G2. After several people have said the same, this must be the one.
Thanks again,
J.V.
Poor guy! I hope you can get your portion of merlins this year and a superb airshow-season! I wish you a quick recovery! š
Best wishes,
Stieglitz
The video is fine but a bit shaky (bad weather). It is however a very interesting link and I will visit this page again in the futur.
Thanks Chris.

Thank you for that info happymeal. Do you have the serial number of this Buchon. That would be great to update my database! Thanks.
It is possible that I come again next year (14 and 15 may 2005 right š )
Thanks Again!

Something about the ‘109 looks wrong – dunno why
Could it be because it is the converted Buchon?
J.V.
In Belgium it was the Gloster Meteor FIII. The RAF 616SQ flew with those machines from Melsbroek in january 1945. For the Belgian Airforce it was also the gloster Meteor during the 1950’s. This in the trainer version (T7) and in the fighter role.

Pic below is from Jorgos Tsambikakis:
Very nice! It seems to have been a good flying day. Thanks for sharing these nice moments Gareth!

I am very sad to see this news of the pilot. š I hoped to see better news on this tread when I returned. My thoughts are with Don’s friends and family.

And as with al the good things, also this must come to a end. I close with the Stieglitz owned by AJBS. After the busy day, it is pulled back in the hangar. The show has come to a end.
Cheers,
J.V.
Other possebilety is that it is a Buchon currently under restoration to airworthy condition in france. It is restored with a Daimler Benz in a Me109-G2 configuration. In that case, the SN of the plane is 139. I don’t know the real identity and any info is of course very welcome!
And as promised, some more pics of the Me109-G2. There are 2 possible identities for this plane. There was a sign of EADS which clames that this is a Me109-G2. If this is right, and the plane is owned by EADS, then it has this identity:
The plane has serialnumber 13605 and is Yellow 12. It should be under restoration in south of Germany. Engine, prop hub and blades, spinner, main fuselage frames, partial instruments and panel, complete landing and tail gear, vertical fin, wing sections, fuselage sections, throttle quadrant and all engine controls, pilot seat, canopy and other parts are recovered from Russia. The plane should have been flown by 208 victory ace Heinrich Ehler and crashed 21JUN1943.
This is the possebiaty N°1.
Yes, it is a lockheed 12. I wrote so fast that I missed! Thanks for that robbelc. I wil correct this fault.
I don’t know about the aircrafts who are stored there, but I could look into on hangar and saw some wrecks. They didn’t look as yak 11 though. I didn’t see anything of the Hawker Fury or Miles Magister, but there was so much to see that it is possible that I have missed it.
Greets,
J.V.
The Brietling jets closed the flying program, but their where some nice things on the ground too. There was a reenactment group who played a airfieldscene from the WW2 period:
The Breitling display team appeared with their 5 L39 Albatross jets. Not very historical planes as they are still in service with many airforces. But some private owners operate the type and like to see it as a vintage jet. Here are some pics:
And now TORA TORA TORA with the 17 Harvards. Look close if you can see all the Harvards in these pics!
