I’m glad I got online today! Just so that I would also be able to send you my best wishes!
Happy Birthday From Belgium!Which (if I’m right) was also on you ‘to visit one day’ list! 😉
Cheers!

They almost look unreal! VERY nice pictures Franck. 😎
With respect,

Mostly they work great. However, when switching views, I find that it takes a couple of seconds or so for the markings/textures to load, so for a few seconds you have a ‘blank’/’white’ aeroplane/textures. T
Does anyone know any possible solutions for this?
The texturefiles made by AH are quite heavy to load. This is mostely the case with AH planes. Some poeple could convert them so that they are easier to load, but I haven’t found a download of this kind. Maybe someone else has a link?
Also, does anyone know if it is possible to close the canopies on the Spits and Hurricanes?
You need to take a look at your keyboard assignments. Start an FS flight. Go to options/Controls/assignments. Select Buttons/Keys and then select General aircraft commands. Then look for the function Select Exit. There you will find out which key you need to use to open/close the canopy. If there isn’t a key assigned yet, you can choose one yourself or change the one which Microsoft set up as the default key.

Thanks Mennie! Those profiles are just what I’m looking for! 🙂
Also interesting to read about your intended project on your nice site.

Nice find Yakrider. 🙂 This is the first time I see a USSR yak 11 profile. Thanks! It does look very basic. Not what I’m used to see on current Yaks. But it would be great to have one in original Y11 colours.
So most of them where painted grey. Did the USSR Yak 11 mostely/always have a yellow spinner?
Any further additions are welcome!

Even in Belgium I heard several people talk about it. I heard that during 1960-1970 several moths where used for glider towing at Kortrijk Wevelgem (EBKT) and Moorsele.
So they where used in this role for shure. Sadly, I dont have any pics of a towing Moth.

It’s nice to spot you here Fabke. Welcome on this board. It’s good to see reports of some Belgian events here.

This is a huge project. I hope they can get there step by step. It may be a little bit early to ask, but are they going to use the Bristol Mercurey engine or another ‘modern’ type.
Anyway, it’s an amazing job! 🙂

I hope a Hawker Hunter counts as an early jet because that is my number one.
Others in my favourites list are:
– Gloster Meteor (T7)
– F86 Sabre

Amazing Work again franck. That staggerwing shot is just superb! (And the pic just below those staggerwings also quite good… )
Thanks for posting yet another fine selection of pictures.

Great pics TST! I didn’t know they had a gliding Me163 there. Very nice and thanks for sharing! 🙂

Nice to see a post which praises the work of the engineers. I also send my thanks to all those great chaps who did a wonderful job!
