Yes guys, Papa Lima is right here. Be happy that you can enjoy legends. I had to make a big effort to make a blitz visit to DX on sunday which lasted only for 4 hours. I only saw a part of the flyingprogram and that already made my week! For me, it was great to be there even for that short period of time.
I could enjoy it.
Thanks.
Stieglitz

Well done Gareth!

Some info, on our site again, here:
http://www.virtualpilots.fi/feature/photoreports/gauntletflies/
I intend to update the article with more information about the plane, sooner or later.
Thanks Grendel for the info. What a great project. It looks amazing, even without it’s original engine.
Superb!
Stieglitz
PS: The Gauntlet’s great sheme is a bit simular to this one on a Belgian based VL Viima:

😮
I’m stunned to see that Gloster Gauntlet! I didn’t know there was still a flying example of this type. Does someone have more info about OH-XGT.
Any info is welcome.
Thanks for posting! 🙂
Stieglitz
What a great project you got there chamas. I hope you keep us updated.
Good luck!

Thanks for the constructive FB.
Built to original plans and powered by a 180hp Hispano.
Looked great on Friday night with the Fokker DR1 (130 Clerget rotary)
There were four rotary-engined aeroplanes, one Hispano and a Warner Scarab in the air on Friday night.
It was fun.
Yes melvin. I noticed someone in a red plane had great fun that friday evening. :p
Greets,
Stieglitz
Thanks for the kind wishes Guys. I’m shure having a great day. 🙂
Greets,
Stieglitz
Great stuff, Stieg, as always 🙂
One thing, though. That “original” SE5a – is it not a replica with an original engine?
Maybe, but if you look at the airshowprogram, they describe it as an original. But it could be … 😉 Anyway, it looked great!

And to close this photoreport: For all the people who are from the UK: don’t panic! There where even some Spits there! 😆

The end of yet another great LFA show.
Cheers,
Stiggy 🙂
And more WW2 stuff got in LFA skies soon. Here are some impressions:

The WW2 theme started with a great moment for the french with the debut in france of TFC Curtiss Hawk which few together with the Swiss license built MS406.

Next came a hommage for marcel Dassault:

Stalingrad:

and of course:

The Vietnam theme was very nice this year with some good effects (and planes of course):

I don’t think this needs further info. 😉
