Fantastic photos Stieglitz, well done.

I am very unfamiliar with what goes on Warbird-wise in Europe. Are all of these aircraft based in France?

I love the Bf109. Looks beautiful even when undressed.

A lot of these warbirds seen here are indeed based in france. The very old ones such as the Bleriots are always present an La ferte’s shows. Of course some of the WW2 planes come from the UK as you have seen.

Sadly, TFC Hawker Hurricane wasn’t here. But some other nice WW2 fighters did come from the UK. See the unexpected TFC P47:

Now the Landing of Normandy event (of course):

First to take off where the DC3’s and the DH89 Dragon Rapide. Also the Caudron 760 made a flying display:

And a metal colour Me109-G2 was towed around the field. It was a nice replacement for the EADS Me109 who didn’t attend the show. More foto’s and info about this machine follow at the end of this tread:
