And to close (for now: I need to eat):
There where a lot of modern acrobatic planes who flew, but I want to show this nice Zlin 526 who made a stunning display, mostly inverted and with negative G-forces. Absolutly Stunning! 😎
Some WW1 planes stayed on the ground for a taxi display such as the Morane Saulnier type A1, Spad XIII, Fokker Dr1 and Se5a.
Also two Se5a closed the WW1 scene with a nice acrobatic preformance:
And now World War 1. The history of this event was presented with the flying Breguet 14, Morane-Saulnier Type 138, SH24 (bucker) and a stearman in disguise 😉 :
Now the show wanted to present the souce of aviation. None of these fragile Bleriot’s flew due to the wind, but the did make a taxi demonstration:
At 13h30, the show started again with a formation flypast of a Dassault Super Etendard and 2 corsairs. The corsairs made a nice display and also a grumman Avenger made a nice appearence. This was to represent the navy:
The last historic plane to show itself before the break was the fouga magister:
Next to come was the nice Vietnam scene. There was one skyraider giving a superb 😎 display together with some other planes as cessna 337 and a L19. There also where special effects as you can see:
This is very sad news. One more loss for CAF. This was a nice warbird but such sad things can hapen when you fly it. 🙁 I hope the pilot can recover quickly from his injuries.

Thanks papa Lima and Archer. Superb photos as always! 😎
And yes Archer, I think you make a good point there. I do believe That other plane isn’t a mustang. :p
Thank you both!

These pics are great! Now that is something we don’t see here in europe.
Thanks,
J.V.
Thanks for that english link paulmcmillan. It is sad to read this detailed report but it is part of our recent history. 🙁 It has given me some more info that I didn’t see before.
Greets,

Looks like there is no Securite Civile Tracker or Canadair either, nor is there the Noratlas. That’s a pity. BW Roger
That is a bit sad to see indeed. But it still looks like a nice program.
Cool pics swiss mustangs! 😎 Does AEDS have a homepage?
Thanks

Stampe,
I thought the Sabena guys were planning a static restoration after their accident. Is that your understanding, or is it to airworthy?Cheers
I could speak to some guys of the Sabena Old Timers During the 2003 stampe Fly-inn. They told me that they intended to repair OO-SOT to airworthy condition. They had bought a second Lysander in canada for parts. This second Lysander was also intended to be restored to static condition for the museum in Brussels. As I understand, it was a long term project. The funds they should have from restoring the static aircraft for the museum, would be used to bring their Lysander back in the air. But that may take some years.
The team still owns a project of a Lockheed Lodestar which is currently stored in belgium.

Stieglitz
Of the three airworthy ones… Shuttleworth still have theirs as you say, one went to Mr. Weeks out in the US and the Belgian one got a wee bit bent and is awaiting(?) repair
Yes, Sabena Oldtimers are still aiming to start their repairs on OO-SOT. They had a stand on the Stampe Fly-inn at Antwerp last weekend. They are busy selling various things to gain funds for this job.

Now, that doesn’t sound very promessing. Thanks for the info swiss mustangs. If anyone should know more, the info is always welcome.
