Dramatic photo indeed 🙁 .
Sad event, strange to look at, but thanks for sharing. Turbo NZ.

Thanks Mark,
Yes, she does look different. Nice plane!
Why is Aon written on the port side?
J.V.
Yes, it is a nice item for the vietnam-scenes at airshows. Is La Ferte a long way from australia. They have a vietnam display at their show.
It is only a tought. 😉

Thanks Setter. The fiat looks stunning. I don’t believe it wears a authentic sheme, but I like it anyway.

Just to bring a update:
Also a T28 Trojan, a MD312 Flamand, SV4, and a allouette II have joined the list of aircraft participants. This is the first year that the event will attract this number of aircraft. The list on the site isn’t complete yet. There are some more possible historic visitors!
On the site, it is written that it is a static show. But, the planes do have to land. Several planes such as the B25 Mitchel attend the airshow in Leopoldsburg in belgium. So it takes of for this other field, preforms a display and then returns to Ursel. So there will be some movement in the air during the weekend.
It is a rare occasion to se Me109 OO-MAF which was descussed in a previous tread on this forum.
Greets,
J.V.
All,
As this thread seems to interest a few folk I’ll post a couple more piccies
Yes it does! please don’t stop now!
J.V.
Thanks Roger, for taking some time to post these. Great detail! 😎
I can’t get enough. The price of a nice cool beer forces me to do a attempt! The plane is spitfire mark 9 MK732. Picture taken around 1993-1994 near Lydd? It made its first post restoration flight on june 10 1993. I don’t know who the pilot is tough. The alcohol must have destroyed a part of my brain.
J.V.
Oh, that explains all those hiccups!
one more please and Cheers!
J.V. 😮
Could it be that the spitfire is the greatest because the Belgian Airforce bought more than 100 pieces of them in 1946. Or did the type see some service elswhere before 1946? :p
Did I miss something?
