Another great plane was with us for one day. The superb dutch based P51D Mustang Damn Yankee made the trip from Lelystad.

The biggest star to arrive was a Dassault MD311 Flamant which made came in from Normandy (France).

But the lost of the big birds where not affected by the weather. So the RNAFHF arrived with their Beaver and Spit:
We had bad weather during the weekend. So several frigale planes needed to cacel their participation. But the flying legends team did make a little hop and came in on saturday from the nearby airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem.
This Pou du ciel solved the bad weather problem in another way. It was transported on a truck. 😉
Wonderfull pic. I was glad to notice this Me on the airshowscene this year. I feared that it would take longer since it didn’t fly often last year.
Great pic!
Thanks Daz.

Wow! I am realy impressed. 🙂 Thanks for the info TT. I do hope they fit an original type of engine. Is there a surviving 12 cilinder Mulkim AM-35A?
It would be a stunning achivement if the machine attends the show at Le…………………………………….ningr ad! 😉

A FLYING MIG 3! 😮
That is great news! I alwas loved the Mig 3 design. I never thought a day could come that such a plane would actualy fly. I’m looking forward to that.
Does someone know if it is a reproduction? Even if it is a new built plane, it will be a joy to see in the sky. I already like these static pics.
Thanks for posting Flanker man!

Stieglitz
If it ever was in a movie theater near me, it must’ve been a pretty small one! I only knew about the movie because Flypast mentioned the construction of the mock-up, never heard anything more about it until you brought it up again Daz.
The movie wasn’t a big succes. Someone told me that the company who made the film went banckrupt shortly after the movie was finished. One of our dutch forummembers had heard about the release of this movie in a dutch movie theatre, but was not able to go during the first week and so he missed the movie.
With that in mind, I’m very suprised to see that this ‘forgotten’ movie might be released on DVD.

Stieglitz
The film has run in the cinema for only one week or so. So very few people saw it.
. As you know the mock up itself ended up in Belgium but only the nose, the rest was destroyed.
Cheers
Cees
That is almost correct Cees. BAHAAT, the organization who owns the remaining parts of this mock up also have one engine and some wing parts together with the nose section. The nose section wil be used as a traveling exhibit for BAHAAT.
PS: I know some people who will be glad to see the release on DVD. Thanks for the info PDS.

Yes. It looks like a mix of great weather and nice machines resulted into lovely pics.
Nice job!
Stieglitz
I like that scheme. If they do i hope it will stay for more than just the malta show, it will be nice to see.
Jay
Yes, it looks very different. Nice sheme. 😎 But I do hope the HAC returns to it’s current sheme one day because that is the sheme the machine had during it’s service days. But that Blue paint should be nice to see for the 2006 season.

It’s great to see that this team is bringing this type back to life. 🙂
Wonderful!
Stieglitz
I must admit that those 566 seconds still is my top time. I haven’t succeed to improve this achivement. 😉

Stieglitz
No, sadly not this year Coert. But many thanks for your great support. I’m hoping that we will have Sarinah again with us in the future for shure. She was our big star last year and I was very much impressed by this lovley machine.

Yes TT! We are very glad that Vormezeele is going to attend this year with his Fiat G46. I will be very happy when this bird arrives here saturdaymorning.
