What can I say …
I recall many of his interesting posts and his passion for aviation. For example his big interest in Hawker biplanes. I feel very sad at this moment. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, …
I will miss him for shure. 🙁

Chiz. Wrong AGAIN! Goes to boil head. 😀
Don’t worry JDK. This happens to me all the time. 😉
Thanks guys (Haireyplane,RogerS, …) for the additional info. It’s always nice to know a little bit more about such a rare bird.
Greets,

Maybe an early question but: Will HFL continue to operate TD248 for this new owner? Or is Spitfire LTD going to be both owner and operator?

I had some problem to see these pics. After a few attempts I did see they look great!
Nice job (again).

Nice selection of pics here. It gives a great impression of the attending planes.
Good work!

Oh no! I was afraid that you would mention our 2 hour sensor cleaning in Madrid. I’m so happy that there are no pictures from this wild event! 😀
Cheers!

Have a great day Mr Moggy! 😉

To close this unique event (and the posting of my pics) was a taxi next to the crowd with the apreciated wave:

Enjoy!

The show started at 12h20 and ended at 13h15. (what a long time! :p ) But to see al these machines in such a short time is a unique experience!!! 🙂
Some formation flying also took place:

Here they come:
Stearman:

Casa Jungmann:

Fleet 7:

Sole Airworthy Miles Falcon Six:

Aisa I-115:

Aisa I-11B:

Jodel D.119:

Piper PA-20 Pacer:

Piper Cub:

Pitts (which gave a nice sole diplay!):

Dornier Do27:

Hispano HA-200 Saeta:

And then the flying planes started up:

The first highlight for me was the Collections Focke Wulf Stieglitz. This aircraft is airworthy but paperwork is preventing this bird to fly:

But this superb plane did start it’s engine to make a nice taxi in front of the crowd:

On Sunday I returned (of course!) to see the show. In the static line, I could see this amazing Comper CLA Swift which dates from 1930:

Then the flying planes got back inside but to return the next day for the show:

A few planes stayed on the ground. Take a look here:

The second T6 got an airing, but did not fly. The team is working on the wings to get this bird back in the sky very soon.
