And then came the event of the week: The Stampe Fly-in at the airfield of Antwerp.
I had plans to go on sunday, but in the end, I went both days. I got the info that there might be something interesting there (thanks rats).
And here it is; The unannounced HFL Spitfire Tr9 😎 :

A few days later, I went to the open door at Braschaat. There you could see 2 of the Vormezeele planes. The Fiat G46 OO-VOR and the Harvard MK IIB OO-DAF.
Here some pics of the Harvard:

And now the single seat Fiat G-46:

The Harvard and the Fiat flew later that day, but I had to leave earlier for work.
A bit late, But as Dave said, the Buchon is certainly keeping it’s merlin engine. The tail-job is reported to be done already. However, it is unlikely that the OO-MAF wil fly in 2005.

Are dive BOMBERS also included in this topic. If that should be the case, I would go for the Stuka.

For me, it has become important to learn about historic aviation and I am pleasantly suprised to get into contact with so many great people. I only hope it doesn’t become an addiction. (if that isn’t the case already).
