Rumbling Growl
although I love the sound of Merlins and Griffons, as well as Allisons and DB-605’s, IMHO nothing beats a Hispano Suiza HS 51 12Y !
Martin
Yes Martin, we all know that there is a lovely swiss MS406! 😉 Sadly we don’t see that one often here. Is she regulary flown at this point.

Great shots! I always liked the Yak 11! And she is just lovely in that white sheme (just like angie soppers Yak 11! 😎 ) I love to see more of this nice plane srpatterson!
Thanks for posting.

Is there going to be someone there (Sywell or Breighton) for some pics? It would be great to see something from the return of this P51! 😎
J.V.
Thanks Chris!
Well done!

Thanks for the tip Darren. That book seems to be interesting.

Also, the spitfire G-CDGK is the only airworthy example with the contra rotating prop (If you exclude the SEAfire MK47 in the USA). The spitfire was transformed from a clipped wing plane to the ecliptical winged spit recently. So the chances to see a Spitfire with a contra-rotating prop based at Old Warden in 2005 are very smal.

They do look a bit suspicious don’t they.

Comming soon …. 😉

WOW ben! You missed your destiny! Do you have a travel agency? 😉
In Belgium, the cities of Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp are definetly worth a family visit! For the Netherlands, you should maybe visit Texel, a very nice Island in the north of the Netherlands. It is not to far from Amsterdam and Alkmaar. The local people are very friendly there with tourists.

It seems like you enjoyed that Canon 20D! Nice pics!

Maybe you mean:
Char(s) de fer
Char(s) means Tank(s)
de means of
fer means Iron
so: Char(s) de fer means Tank(s) of Iron or just Iron tank(s)
I hope this helps,
