If this is true, then who has a clue (or pic) of Mr. Lacey’s Dora. I’m just so curious to see how the plane looks. 😮

Septic – I will clarify a few points. The Fury is owned by the family of her late owner. There isn’t any rush as such to use her. She is simply a possesion in a similar way to a vintage car that is used on nice summer days.
A great many vintage aircraft fly for very few hours a year. It’s not unusual for an aircraft to fly for five to ten hours a year. Some are treated as investments -some are purely because the owner appreciates it for what it is .

Thanks to say this David. The owner does appreciate these nice aircraft. By the way, the family flies those 6 other vintage planes from the late owner. Those other planes (such as the unique VL Viima II from 1938) fly around 50 hrs each year to attend events on the continent. All the aircraft which are owned by the family are of great importance to them and they are all kept in airworthy condition and flown (except for the Fury which is the only one that is not flown at this point).

Oh my god Melvin. Please don’t get eaten by a Tiranosaurus Rex III. 😮 Isn’t it dangerous with all those dinosaures in that spare room. 😀 No problem if you can’t find those pics. I think it’s the one on the pic from B-17man. With it’s registration, I can browse the net myself to find some more confermation.

Thanks though for this humorous reply! 🙂

    Stieglitz, no probs!

Hope you get to grips with it and if you need any help, then just ask.

Btw, the up and coming Aeroplane Heaven/Just Flight Spitfire pack will have the FM’s made using the FDWB – all done by Jerry himself. 🙂

Thats good news Paul. I only hope Justflight/AH is going to release the pack for real at the end of this month. I am already waiting from february and I’m running out of patience. If it is going to be delayed again, I think I’ll go crazy! 😮 😮

    Cheers,

I think it might be this one B-17man. Is this the one which crashed around 1989. 🙁 Does someone know anything about the circumstances/place …?

Quite possibly the one that pranged eventually at Binbrook. I remember that one displaying at La Ferte around 1987. I have photos somewhere.

It would be great if you could post one Melvyn. Maybe I will recognize it.

    Thanks,

Nice shots Guys. It’s interesiting to see that G-FORT had no turrets. Where there other B-17’s flying in europe in the eighties without gunturrets. I remember I saw a aluminum shemed B-17 on a belgium airshow around 1985-1986. I was only 4 or 5 years old, so forgive me if I don’t recall the registration of this plane. 😮 Was it G-FORT or maybe another European based B-17 without turrets?
