Thanks for the tip about this Flight Dynamics Workbook Bradburger. I’ll give it a try.
Cheers,

Nice pics! They look great next to the winter maintenance pics of the BBMF. 🙂

I can only say that the team is working hard to keep their other vintage planes in the air. They succeeded to attend at more then 15 shows during 2004 with up to 6 planes at each event.
All the people involved in this story did the best they could and have worked hard to repair the Fury after it’s crash. It’s sad that the public can’t see the result of the hard work that was done.
We don’t know what the future brings, but I would love to see the Fury in a flying display one day. If the time comes, you will be the first to know.

Forget the dates and the slightly wrong construction niggles, its a beaut and its a travesty that its just sitting gathering dust in a Belgian hangar!!! 😡
Sorry to see you feel that way Kodak. I understand it perfectly. I also hope to see the Fury back in the sky. But sometimes difficult descissions must be made. 🙁 (believe me) But the fury is maintained in top condition. So if the descission should be made in the future to fly it again, we just need to pull it out of the hangar, fill it up with fuel and we can start it. I hope that this day will come. But as it seems now, it will not be in the near future.
I must admit that such a nice plane should fly.

You simply start to love this shark by looking at al those nice pics, don’t you. 😎

A strange (open cocpit) but interesting modification. I’ve never seen this before. For what reason did they do that?

That could have been fun 😮 I had a bad one in a R22, but well, it sorted out, and I’m here. 😉
Yes, it was a lot of fun! Those flying machines can do some strange things for shure. But when its your passion, you just want to get in the sky again, even after such a experience.

Any way, its great to see a different sheme on this yak. So not the ussual red star. It’s a nice bird Ja Worsley.

Dangerous? I was a bit worried when the engine stoped turning when I made a ride in a 1937 vintage biplane. Luck for me, the piston engine started again after a break of 30 seconds. We immediatly turned home. We made it back in one piece. Some kind of oil-pressure problem was the cause of the ‘little’ problem.

Koksijde Belgium 2002. It rained all day and a lot of displays (such as the red arrows) where cancelled or limited. There was also fog during the most of the day. So we didn’t see a lot. 🙁 The weather was not on our side.

The Fury left the UK on 24 June 2003, piloted by Dirk De Splenter.
Yes, it was Dirk Desplenter who flew her back here. The flight was in the summer of 2003. My memory must have failed here (sory). 😮 Time must fly by. Thanks for the info guys. I’l need to update my database.

This is a strange case indeed David. It has been mentioned on this forum before that the flight might have taken place in 2003. But I am almost shure it arrived in Belgium in early 2004 and this plane didn’t cross the sea twice! I’ll ask the owner for the date this weekend. Let me know what you can find out David .

The Fury left for Belgium in 2003. I took the picture of it on it’s first flight post restoration which featured in FlyPast. I also took a number of pictures of her in the hands of Vintec’s Paul Sharman doing her first engine runs post
their engine overhaul.
Sorry David, but the Fury returned to Belgium at the end of february 2004 and I am quite shure about it.
Thanks to share those pics in flypast. They where very nice! 😎

The fury is now stored here in Belgium at Kortrijk Wevelgem. It flew back to its owner which flies 6 other biplanes there. The Fury replica is maintained in complete airworthy condition.
Pic one is of the Fury during after it landed at Kortrijk during March. It had just made the trip from Old Warden. It hasn’t flown since. The Second pic I took two weeks later (13th march) when it was just placed into storage.
Please respect the copyright on these pics Septic. If you want to use the one I took, please PM me. If you have some other questions, maybe I can help. If so, just PM me.
I know the Fury made one refueling stop in the UK and that some pics where taken there. But they might be difficult to find. The reason why there are very few pics is because its flight to Belgium was not anounced in any way and the plane was put into storage at the same day that it arrived. The plane is NOT on public display now. There is (sadly) no access to the plane. But we take good care for her. It is a impresive plane for shure. 😎

That is super Jagdtiger. Those are the first pics I see of Mr. Lacey his Dora. It will take a large amount of work to complete this one for shure.
