Back to the piston power. Next aircraft in the superb program was this DC3/C47.

Nice photos Stieglitz. It looks as if you will be getting ‘Duxford standard’ airshows at Lelystad in future.

Then came one of the highlights of the show. A massive historic formation in 4 parts:

    1. A DHC Beaver with 4 piper cubs and a DH82a tiger moth
    2. A Saab Safir and 4 Fokker S11
    3. A Beech 18 with 3 Noorduyn Harvards
    4. A B25 Mitchell with a spitfire MK9 and the local based P51 Mustang

Another rare airshow visitor came from Belgium. It was the Fiat G46 from E. Vormezeele which gave a short, but nice display in this rare machine:

I am only covering the historic aircraft here. So I will not give pics of the pitts who displayed after the F86. The next vintage plane which flew was the casa Ju52 which came from La Ferte in France:

Before the start of the flying program, the Connie was towed around the field. It couldn’t fly due to engine problems. But I was impressed by it, even without seeing it in the sky.
