I continued my visit and went to see the static line next to the taxiway. Here you could see many other nice vintage types. First pic is of Lambach HL II reproduction. The others are a selection out of the planes of the local badsed Early Birds Foundation.

This is sad news. My thoughts are with the families of the victims. 🙁

I look forward to being on your forum and I am fairly Knowledgable on most WWII aircraft. 🙂
Welcome Dog House Ldr.! Its always nice to welcome a new member. For me, joining this forum was one of the best things I’ve done this year. If you want to learn a lot about historical aircraft, this is the place to be. So your knowledge can even grow! I hope you will enjoy it here as much as I (and many other users) do. 🙂
Greets,

This is a interesting tread. 🙂 I’m glad they are raising the planes after this pollution problems. I hope everything goes right. If you have updates, please let us know Archieraf.

A experience of a lifetime. Thanks for sharing it with us Peter.

Both aircraft are de-registered. G-AJXB was withdrawn in june 1956 and G-AHLL in february 1960. I doubt that they have survived.

Yes Macky42,
Maybe Steve or Trumper could share that bit of info? If it is possible…..
We are all curious of course! 😮

Are you really objective Comet ? 🙂 😉
Always! 🙂 Even a objective belgian person must simply admit that Belgian chocolate is the best. 😉 So the Belgian beer expert of this forum just did the same.
Thanks for that.

p.s. are there any real actors around now days who could pull this off
I don’t think Brad Pitt can do that job.
On that link of Alpha, it is told (if my knowledge of the german language is OK) that the Me109 should make its first flight next monday, and a second one next week on wednesday. The team has plans to make a press release in october with a lot more info. But for now, they want to complete their paperwork and get a permit to fly.
PS: Don’t convert all the Buchons to DB. Some of us just might also like the merlin bird. 😮 Of course a DB is very very very …. nice too!

I use the Sidewinder Force Feedback2 and I love it. 🙂 My father uses a Thrustmaster topgun fox 2 pro. I prefer the one I have. 😮

EADS is owner of two buchon’s (D-FMBB and D-FDME).
This buchon (Rote 7) CN 319 is reported to be in france at this site:
http://www.preservedaxisaircraft.com/
But here it is reported to be OWNED  by Flugwerk in germany:
http://www.avions-de-legende.com/tablprof/Tabrest.htm
This could ewmpain its registration FlugWerk ME109.
But nohing is mentioned on the website of Flugwerk. Maybe french owners, but transported to flugwerk for the fitting of the DB engine?

Maybe someone else can hep us out here? 😮

It must have it’s reasons why a plane can survive for more than 50 years without being discovered. But I know that the specialists will do the best they can to recover parts if this is possible.
Just wait and see.
