I’m having a go at a Harrier Gr3 panel. A big ask, but I’m after a real left hand panel (currently laser cut ply) and glare shields as well the exotic instruments and sundries. I’ve got some spares, the Blue Fox scope being FRS1 and the throttle bits AV-8b I think. Any help much appreciated!

It looks like the bare bones of Varsity, Pembroke or similar. There would be brake paddles and switch boxes on the ends of the handles.
Interesting item but I think it’s Japanese rather than German, having a Mitsubishi logo on the shaft. Nice item all the same.
Nice selection Baz! We need to get a left and right seat photo of our Backfire sticks together. This is on ebay, Visotka1: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXTRA-RARE-PILOT-Control-Stick-Russian-soviet-Fighter-Original-Joystick-SU-30/201726222051?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Deb9fc16c9d224695809a02123a1f0a17%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D202181681197%26itm%3D201726222051&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%253A0afbedf9-0901-11e8-aea7-74dbd180188f%257Cparentrq%253A5c8b0b841610ab6bcfe584a6fffeac6d%257Ciid%253A1
Almost identical to yours. You have an interesting way of displaying your collection. My wife is interested, and there are a couple of grips in our living room. She would never let me screw them straight to the wall though!
I have this column, without a grip. Mig 21?
Hello Visotka1,
I have found a single picture of your stick in Yefim Gordon’s Aerofax book on the Su-25. It is from a series of film stills testing weapons in the prototype stage. Your stick may well be from a prototype as all the other photos in the book of later aircraft have a scalloped/ more lumpy top and adjustable wrist rest. I would very much like an Su-25 grip!
Rocketeer, that is a lovely big lump of P-51. What’s the story?
I certainly didn’t buy the He-111 yoke. Slightly cheaper, although not a bargain, is this Nimrod yoke: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NIMROD-Steering-Yoke-Steering-Wheel-6M4CF5006AND/183051137648?hash=item2a9eb2b270:g:O3YAAOSwhiZadEAX
Thanks for the confirmation, TO! Glad it entertained, more fun than a pm. That Vongold really doesn’t miss a trick.
Ah, the old jet gladiator. They had to strengthen the wings.
That really is a fine selection, Martyn! Must have been a treat to unwrap. Impressive simulator work, visotka1. Much cleverer electronics than I will ever manage. The centre cap on my Tu-22 yoke is also a reproduction, masked and spray painted onto the inside of a clear dome. Looks the part though.
I think there may be a Cold War theme at the Fest this year…
Su-25 Frogfoot is just as good! Here is it’s NATO equivalent, A-10. What are the other grips? I recognise helicopter cyclics bottom right with L-39 above them.
Welcome to the forum, Visotka1. That really is quite a collection! Su-27 on the left? Something I would very much like!
Thanks Visotka1, that explains very well indeed!
I might try the box idea myself. I’ve just tried to loop tthe cables with cable ties. They spring around something rotten. Trawling through old photos, I found this oddment, I know what it’s from and think I know what is…
Yes (please) to the Selectric button, Tempest V. I’ve got a lightly repaired guns button. Do message me. Nice work on the Tonka grip Tony. The cables are interesting, important and a pain in the backside. A box is a clever way of hiding them. I cracked with a pair of reconditioned ACA1636s, unfortunately without histories.
Presumably the box it was delivered in. Looks immaculate. DC-4?
