The B47 wheel is only visible on ebay.com. There is some exciting and potentially expensive stuff listed, Swifter, including this P-61 example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291942079916?_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I’m expecting it to go for more than my piggy bank will stand.
Very much liking your Draken panel, Batura. You must spend a lot of time on Swedish ebay now! The cobra panel is nearly finished, as is a shed to accommodate it. I would like to get glare shields, as well as the flip up range data sheets for the sight. It is getting close to the one pictured.
Hello Dan, it’s a ‘loose’ grip which never had a column. The most quoted use is for the bombadier/ torpedo dropper in an Avenger, but they probably had many other uses. Pictured here: http://www.tbmavenger.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=124991821 You wouldn’t want to confuse it with the pee tube on the other side of the step.
Seagull perhaps? A more adjustable undercarriage!
Walrus? Press button for turning off the UC warning. If anyone has a spare Walrus UC indicator I’d be interested too…
And a nice example too! Would be interested if you want to get rid of it.
Nice collection, Blgalev! Some very sought after grips there. The labels are lovely too, sets them off well.
This site has some excellent Russian cockpit/stick details: http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/colors/internal-colors-primers/internal-colors-primers.html
Nothing matches though, all very KG 13 based.
It’s certainly an odd one. The finish looks too good for an early post war Soviet type, but the designer certainly had a KG grip to study. Is it winging it’s way to you?
The odd Ruskie grip is out of the rust remover and looks much improved. No progress on making the other side, work and Cockpit fest kept getting in the way. That’s a very nice 190 grip. Was similar fitted to the Hs129? Less impressive is this Seahawk grip: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191895776035?_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Some stuff squeezed into car. Shameful early start tomorrow. Next time, I will mostly be bringing smaller stuff.
This seller in the States has some useful Sabre stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/North-American-F-86-Fighter-Jet-nose-radar-cover-/172210173801?hash=item281886b769:g:FEoAAOSwcvdXOztE
A big lumpy yoke off a big lumpy aircraft, Fly.Buy! It has a very wartime look to it. Has it come from New Zealand?
This (half) Russian spade grip has me confused. There appears to be room for only one top button, so not Sturmovik. It looks similar to a LaGG-3 grip, but that doesn’t have the extra steel (brake?) lever: http://www.airpages.ru/img/la3_5.jpghis
There are also similarities to a Mig-3 grip: http://www.reaa.ru/yabbfiles/Attachments/Kabina_MiG-3.JPG
as well as references to an early Il-2 spade grip with only one button at the top. It will soon be going in a Deox C bath prior to getting a 3D printed other half. With the sad demise of the Cardiff Ian Allan bookshop, my reference library has gone. Any ideas?
Nice items Swifter, although the number only works on ebay.com, not our co.uk.
