I’ve not seen loose triggers or buttons for sale TonyT, although whole ones do come up for varying prices as the same grips are still fitted to Bell helicopters. That Gnat grip is nice but seems a bit much. Also steep but attractive: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221408328737?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:VRI&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2661
I couldn’t reveal my sources Tony, but it’s useful to have some Jewish blood back there in the family line!
Don’t worry Martyn, there may be a spare!
Nice work Swifter, your B47 yoke has come up a treat! The pic is of a centre cap picked up on a US base in the UK (from another forum). It’s supposed to be on it’s way to the museum at Alconbury. It makes you spit, that can be found for nothing!
In a similar French theme to your missile stick Tony, these have just arrived from Israel. SAMM type 103 and 103A. Possibly Vautour or Kfir if IDF but vendor’s location isn’t that much of a clue. They are nice and dirty though, so should scrub up well. I don’t suppose anyone has a trigger or two? A guy in Oz is making resin Mirage grip kits and I’m hoping to get some bits off him. Resin just isn’t strong enough for proper trigger action though…
It is odd to see A10s and F16s put out to pasture too. I’d be very keen on a B52 or C5 yoke too! Use up that hand luggage allowance. An F86 would do me too Bill, a nice compact cockpit.
Oh for an afternoon with an angle grinder…
Very French, looks like a samm grip. For missiles. Some very odd stuff in. Poland
Sounds like the He111 at Charterhouse, Mendips. Only a few moments flying from Priddy. Would love to see the clock, wish I’d got a nice lump of Stirling….
Cheers Hindenburg, Excellent photo!
Is that an Ariel Red Hunter twixt his thighs too? I lightly crashed one once at a B24 crash site. A precursor of worse to come.
No other proof than a US website, 94 makes it Mitchell. It looks sturdy enough for a hydraulic hand pump.
Checking up, it doesn’t look like the pump on page 24 of the B25C manual here: https://archive.org/stream/PilotTrainingManualForTheMitchellBomber#page/n23/mode/2up
That’s a nice lump of Buccaneer Tony! Been totally flummoxed on the ids so far, obscure is interesting.
Lovely images Terry, a lost art of graphic design.
No idea about your PTT sorry Swifter. I have another version which is made from the same soft plastic as children’s toys. Not sure what that’s from either!
Here’s a historic for the future. Apache Longbow, probably American as the cyclic has no thumb switch. The collective is a proper double decker. No luck at Shoreham but ebay has sufficed.
A thoroughly good day out, thanks for organising Andy. Despite getting up at five, still arrived at nine to a stream of happy people carrying trophies back to their cars. Early birds etc. A good chance to catch up with friends old and new. Came home with slightly more money than I arrived with. A result.
The best way is to keep an eye out and see what comes along. Looking for a particular project will only lead to disappointment. Newark fest is coming up!
