And off of a spit. You can just see the 300 part number.

That looks the business, JDH. Good find! Rocketeer is probably your man for Hurricane bits.
That’s an impressive looking dial! Your panel is spreading:o
Collecting has been fairly quiet recently, but here is another variation on the classic B8 theme.
Your Neptune yoke looks lovely, Swifter, although we’re not supposed to advertise on the forum! Fly.Buy, I have the same problem as you but never looked hard enough to solve it. I think the loose yokes we got are wrong for a B(1)8, looking at the images here, and a couple at jumbles, the yoke should have the Dunlop crinkle finish rather than the strange un removable preservative on ours. This gives a better idea: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?79892-Questions-for-the-Canberra-experts
Very unlikely to be Heinkel based on the seller’s other items. A quick google doesn’t look promising sorry.
Thanks for the update. Just idle curiosity but interesting none the less.
A Lynx pod would be nice but there really isn’t much left in them. It looks like a good rummage would be needed through the miscellaneous parts to source the missing panels etc. There are a couple of armoured seats in one lot and some seat survival packs in another. I’m trying to find the last gauge for a Lynx panel and have seen more rare Spit gauges than the VSI I need. Perhaps the flood gates will open now, as with Tornado grips.
Definitely Wellington, unlikely to be Warwick or Wellesley, the only other geodetic aircraft.
Co pilot’s side too, have one already thankfully. Too much spent already!
I don’t usually post unless It’s aviation related, looking for info, helping with an id or a bit of showing off (I love a trinket, be it on my shelf or in someone else’s hangar). I do like planes and would be more than mildly impressed seeing a big lump of P38 in the flesh without going to Germany to see a polished example. This is usually a friendly place, with a high proportion of members meeting and talking face to face. I’m not interested in bikes so will not be frequenting biker forums, or bars. Perhaps your opinions would be better suited there, Andy.
They were going for fifty quid before he found out what the were!
More than plodding on! That is a very impressive project. Always enjoy your updates.
Hello Nick, my yoke is still attached to a lump of column so looks the same as yours less chains. I see why you don’t want to cut it, always good to recoup a little. Good luck with the puller.
Thanks for the heads up Fly.Buy, the Tornado grips are from Everett Aero. This is the fourth he’s listed in 24 hours, one in the post already! The Nimrod yoke is tempting but pricey, there’s an interesting 747 yoke around I believe, might make some enquiries:rolleyes: .As a colleague said, if you’re going for airliner yoke, make it a big one! Cheers, Ian.
