Astonishing is the best description. I’ll get my trunks.
Some lovely bits of stuff around. Brian, is that a Sea Harrier panel? Battle, B17 wheel? and Andy, which bit of the Luftwaffe is missing their swastika? Dirty Harry, that looks like a Welsh cupboard?! Here are some broken bits of P61. Radar panel from first dig in 86. Must have one of the first mentions of ‘video output’. Bottom is the throttle box, recovered twenty years later.
Air Britain has it with 56Sqn. Tail broke off in dive near Spalding, Lincs, 18/8/42. Very absorbent ground around there. Hope this helps.
You’re just making excuses for your grubby hands…
It was a challenging night Chris. 11pm on Friday night having driven up straight after work in Cardiff! Very good display of what else was recovered at Fort Perch Rock, worth a visit.
Interesting bit of panel Tony, despite what Airfix say, they never seem to be black! Heres another spit piece, P7533 from Birkenhead Park.
A B24 made it from the German border to Herefordshire with no pilot at the controls. Good write up here:

Thanks Kiteflyer, that looks pretty similar. Most of them have too much corrosion to read the numbers but the NAA lettering was correct. Bomberboy, what’s a Whale tanker? curious!
Thanks Tankbarrel, there were some US radial types broken up there.
A couple more Llandow fragments. Would anyone have an idea about the Ryan Aeronautical piece. It looks like a bit of exhaust manifold but from what? The fuel **** backplate looks British and the little hollow bakelite bit is perplexing. The two inspection hatches have AW stamps. Last bits possible mustang, the cylinder has NAA cast into it. Could be tempted by a trip out Merkle. P1299 spun in so there is unlikely to be much remaining.
I thought Albermarle as well but they have more tapered wings. Whitley has a twin tail and hopefully Pagen will get a look at the big clear photo at St Athan and say for sure. There were a few Albermarle bits as well, SP stamped (thanks Elliott for the ID)
I think Al may have it. Pretty much where the photo was taken found these access panels. Both have AW stamps/ part numbers. Also found a fuel transfer **** and a Ryan Aeronautical piece.

NM188 was a Tiger Moth transferred to the Royal Hellenic Air Force 23/2/47 according to Air Britain. Possible?
lovely model of a very attractive aircraft. I missed your post first time round but have some H75 paint samples. Good luck with the Spit.
Electronic eyes and a very low tide for that one I think!
