Cheers

Just learning how to put piicies on, so pls ignore this
Went to Cosford Sat, all engines now off the 707. 3 lying on the ground. couldnt see the 4th.
There is a notice on the fence around the 707 saying that the 707 in its entirety is going to Museum of Flight. so is the Viscount and the 111. The forward fuselage of the VC10 is going to Brooklands and the cockpit only of the Trident is going to the Scottish National Museum, which is a reall shame.
The 111 had the side door by the cocpit slightly open, the VC10 had one of the lugage doors slightly open, the Trident, if memeory serves correctly had a passanger door slightly open and the 707 had the door above the wing completley open!!!!
Looks as if they are trying to get some air in to the airframes cus they must STINK. Id also say that it looks as if things are going to start happening quiete quickly now as the new hanger had one end completely open and the floor was laid.
Id get up there quick to photograph the airliners and others before they go and/or entombed in that new hanger. Me thinkks it will be just like the American hanger at Duxford where there is so much inside that you can not see anything!!!!!!!!
Would attach photos but got to learn to do it
Does any one know whos going to buy the Fighter Collections Beau? Be nice to see it operated by the same people as the Blenheim……… could then have the classic line from the air show commentator “and from your right, a lovely pair of Bristols……..” Just a thought.
Differnet pics, stand out from Taylors et al style
Would suggest that any one who wants to see the airliners at Cosford gets up there quick. VC10 nose only to Brooklands, Trident nose only to Scotland National museum, the rest of the airframes to the museum of flight. The 707 already has a fence round it and the engine covers are off!!!!
I agree with Pete T, only enclosure i enjoyed was years ago at North Weald, once at Waddington (early 90’s) and a couple of years ago at Duxford when they had the South African 747. Even tried the Sally B enclosure last year and ……. well the weather had a say with that didnt it?
Is it my imagination or is the side door open on the Vic?
Was at Bruntingthorpe In ’93 (if memory serves me correctly on the year) and yes it was freezing.
Ill believe 558 flys again when i see it!
