Sorry, I changed my mouse from a P/S2 to a serial mouse and my system went stupid… registry errors etc, so currently my video adapter is not working properly so I am working at 640 x 480 and only 16 colours… it isn’t pretty.I took some photos but can’t load them onto my computer… can’t even load word as it requires 256 or more colours to run.
I think my video card is conflicting with my graphics cards… so I’ll be quiet for a while (stop smiling Vort and Jonesy).
For the record I am 32 (turning 33 this year) and I do hide my weight by being 6 ft 7 in… but that doesn’t hide it from the side…
Did you swap the mouse over while the computer was still running? Thats fatal as you probably found out.
I dunno how computer literate you are so apologies if this is sound a bit patronising. 🙂
Before you start doing any of this please backup important files.
Try running a program called Regedit to clean the registry (you should find this in your Windows directory on your hard drive.
Once thats done check your display settings (Control panel – Display then click on settings). Adjust the sliding bar to adjust resolution (800*600 should do) and change the color depth using the drop down list, select the most colours you can (note that selecting a greater colour range may alter the resoultion again)

Can you tell me why so many european countrys like France and Sweden use so much nuclear energy when a clean fuel like natural gas is simply burnt off at oil dereks. Or why you in Europe cause so much acid rain from dirty fuels like coal or fossil fuel when natural gas is available yet thrown away?
Wind power is not an alternative, it should be taken advantage of in places with enough wind to make it cost effective, but its not going to eliviate any countrys energy problems.
If you read my post you would see i said sustainable, not clean. Last time I heard natural gas is going to run out just like fossil fuels and then where will the world be? Surely now is the time to be investing in renewable energy sources or maybe cutting down on power consumption… I am guessing your computer isn’t solar powered? 😉
As for wind I was using it as an illustration there are other possiblities for renewable energy (as well as cleaner non-renewable energy). The reason I chose wind was because we have a new off shore wind farm near Great Yarmouth (Norfolk) in the North sea and we also have a massive turbine in the local town, reputed to be the largest in Europe.
To agree with you natural gas is far better than fossil fuels and we run on gas for our heating much like a great number of people in this area, so maybe Europe isn’t as bad as you think it is.
Maybe they should build gas plants instead. I just found it a little short sighted that they would choose to build fossil fuel plants of all things.

I used to ignore orders …
I completed the game by totally disregarding the orders in the early missions. There’s one where you desend upon a village from a hill with the objective of taking out the three shilkas. Unfortunatly the AI of my team was lowsy and most if not all of the team gets killed before we get near the village. Being a lowly soldier you can’t destroy the Shilka or the BMP before your team gets wiped out so at the start of the level i turn to the LAW guy and take him out with a bullet (cruel but then due to his stupidity he never takes out either the BMP or shilka before he dies thereby putting the entire squads lifes at risk, so i see it as a necessary evil 😀 ). I then nab the LAW and take out the BMP and Shilka meaning the majority of the squad survives… at least until we reach the next village.
Every time i play that mission i am the only surviver out of all the allied squads

Hehehehe… what you do with Hinds, I do with M1s. In a reasonably large village with plent of ammo boxes spread around it is quite fun taking on tanks an crews from damaged tanks. It is a bit more tactical with tanks as you can set traps with mines and satchel charges.. }>
I’m gonna have to give that a go, there nothing quite like the feeling when a tank brings its turret to bear on you… a real brown trouser moment 😉

I’m only playing, but you’re probably right.
Its a good debate, best i’ve read on the forum. The new forum makes it easier to read too.
