The new NWA paint job on the A320. I still like the old livery better.

Great pictures. May I ask, what kind of camera you used?

JetBlue? Now I know that’s a false look into the future. 🙂

About 7-8 hours south you can get to Dayton Ohio, home of the USAF Museum. It doesn’t have the flyable aircraft as Duxford does but there are tons of aircraft to look at.

If your driving down to Dayton I would recommend stopping in Akron, Ohio at the Military Aircraft Preservation Society museum. It’s a growing outfit that is restoring several aircraft to both static and flyable condition. In addition to their restoration projects they have a few of their own museum pieces as well as a few privately flyable aircraft (P-51, B-25, etc.) on display.

About 5-6 hours from Toronto you can get to the Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run (WW2 manufacturer of the B-24) outside of Detroit. In addition to the static aircraft they have a number of flyable aircraft but I recommend going during the non-airshow season months as most are out making their rounds for most of the year.

Another 1-2 hours past Detroit in Kalamazoo, Michigan there is the Kalamazoo Air Zoo Museum which has a great collection of aircraft, most of which fly. They also have a restoration facility that you can tour. The Air Zoo is moving in the near future to a new facility in St. Louis or something but I don’t think that’s happening for a year or so.

I hope these help. They aren’t next door to Toronto but I feel they are worth the trip.

Ah, I figured that might have happened. Even though, £60,000 isn’t anything to sneeze at either.

Congradulations Mike!! It’s funny you mentioned the difference in climb performance of the C152 with only 1 person on board. I remember thinking the same exact thing on my first solo. 😀
