Lincolnshire aviation heritage centre might find them useful, you can call them on 01790 763207. Alternatively the BBMF as previously mentioned, call RAF Conningsby on 01526 342581 and ask for them.

They should have just made an F-22 “light” model with updated avionics, no thrust vectoring etc instead of the F-35 in the first place. China is going to start flexing over the next decade so the rest of the world needs to be prepared.

I had a full set of 4 but an American chap purchased the smaller pair to make a rocket car for use in Bonneville about 5 years ago! I have a pair of Swiss sidewinder pylons too.

Agreed, nice vid but it should be in modern military. I’d rather we just went for the c with cats and traps, the b just looks like a combination of huge amounts of maintenance and a lot to go wrong.

The owner of this one was an Irish chap so I guess he cut the locals a better deal? I cant see a museum paying £30,000 for it and then paying to move it all that way.

On the other hand it could be a long term loan deal? Must be cheaper than paying the fees to Bournemouth International airport.

Indeed, upon completion you are awarded the Certificate of Rapid Aircraft Preservation.

You are then eligible to join the Fast Acting Recovery Team crack squad and will be issued with Aviation Recovery Specialist Equipment.

I also propose a new recovery group, the fast acting recovery team.

Look out for us, it may initially be a little unclear where we are and who is responsible but you’ll soon sniff us out.

Have they ever actually recovered anything? From the website there seems to be decades of procrastination, some sport diving, telephone calls, pub lunches, back patting but no actual metal on dry ground to show for it. Plenty of begging for money as ‘aviation advocacy is expensive’.

I stand to be corrected and indeed would love to be but from the outside it looks a little like the largely American midlife crisis sport diving, boating and avoiding wives club?

Website is a little tacky as well and why is Richard Gillespie unable to look at the camera in his profile pic? Was he too interested in the boobies on the shore (hey I could be talking about the feathered variety, I’ll let you decide) or is it a failed attempt to look all macho in a nautical way?

Any Chipmunk parts would be of great interest 🙂
