Usually the Turks seek assistance from the South Koreans and base their designs on the Korean originals.
    not the other way around

Altay is just a K2 with extra wheels

you should totally warn the moderators about this thread. go down to the bottom left corner and press the ! button!

btw you haven’t explained why the TFX is more advanced than Asian fighters, which by the way, are actually flying.

I figured why should I be deterred when every other aircraft program has an independent thread of its own on here and not the TF-X. The mods seem to shut-down TF-X related threads and then private message forum users asking them to purchase “advertising” from the forum instead! I wonder if this is happening to users that start threads on the KF-X and other programs. Alot of weird things are occuring on the forum of late. Some posts are going missings others are receiving weird PM’s etc

well, there’s like 4-5 Russian versions of you, so that’s why they can force the forum to have a unique pak-fa thread.

P.S. It is immaterial what it looks like aerodynamically. What matters is whats inside. And none of the Asian equivalents are even close to the next generation systems offered by BaE Systems and TAI in the TF-X…e.g. swarm micro kamikazi UAV’s, RF Decoys, true network centricity, next-gen new Western engines etc

the Asian equivalent, FC-31, is already flying and built. your tfx can’t decide which CG it wants to use.
But they seem to have trouble with AESA radars. Maybe Turkey can sell China AESA radars for their jets.

The TF-X is looking more like Europe’s F-22 equivalent as the days go by. A lot of BaE’s Replica program technology is being incorporated in the TF-X.

If we remove the fact that the TF-X is a Turkish program- it looks like a promising combat aircraft program by BaE systems and Rolls-Royce.

Replica is related to JSF (aka F-35) not F-22.
Turkey is not European. most of it is in the middle east. the people are culturally as the middle east. you can say Middle east’s first stealth aircraft.. but the Iranians may disagree

3D printing would only work if it provided a part with the same strength and weight as the original. Weight and balance is critical to stability in airplanes.

but but, all the China stronk guys in the PLAAF thread be like “our new aircrafts use the latest technology like 3d printing, super aesa, drones, reusable rockets” etc and whatever buzz words are out there.

I think it looks great, better than the j-20.

Chinese fighters tend to be notoriously long

    j-8 vs f-4
    j-10 vs f-16
    j-20 vs f-22

    fc-31 looks balanced

its not done yet. they’re going to add more things to the top and it’ll probably look a little more cluttered and similar to the Kuznetsov in the end
hopefully it won’t have as many problems as the liaoning, like breaking down, explosions, and slow speed

    Thunderbirds receive first F-35s

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (AFPN) — Hill Air Force Base officials rolled out the first of 11 configured F-35 Lightnings for the Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team.

During a ceremonial hand over April 1st, attended by incoming 2017-2018 Thunderbirds commander and lead pilot Lt. Col. Greg Thomas, and a full house of media, military and civilian spectators, Ogden Air Logistics Center officials presented the first converted jet to the aerial demonstration team.

Additionally, the 309th Maintenance Wing along with the 508th Aerospace Sustainment Wing, both under the Ogden ALC, are partnering to remove the weapons system from each aircraft and replace it with a smoke-generating system. Each aircraft gets a new red, white and blue paint job too.

“If these aircraft were needed in a combat situation, they can be reverted back to combat-ready in three days,” said 1st Lt. Elbert Mose, a program manager in the 508th Aircraft Sustainment Group. “We have never had a situation where that has happened, but in 72 hours we could put the gun system back into a plane and (it would) be completely ready.”

Colonel Thomas said the delivery of the first air show-ready Thunderbird at Hill is significant to more than just would-be air show spectators.

    FWIW

Ukraine announces plans to develop new twin engine fighter

sounds more or less like a Ukrainian variant of the mig-29 with Russian parts removed and replaced iwth domestic, maybe Chinese or western european guts.

how much of the mig-29 did Ukraine produce before?

If it is so much a fever for You to be correct, then I admit “YES; THE J-20 IS GREEN !”

As if the colour of a Chinese military aircraft is our biggest concern today?

big enough concern for you to call it out when it wasn’t even addressed to you in the first place

in any case. on to the H-6k color

The real question is “Are there any deep pocket partners left who can help Dassaut or Saab defray the development costs?” Sukhoi, Lockeed, BAE and MiG did.

    did Mig do something?

saab was supposedly linked with Turkey, which also linked with BAE

no idea who’d dassault would work with but perhaps potentially with India if fgfa tech transfer doesnt pan out

If You would read properly I always admitted that it has a greenish shine in certain lightning conditions but at least by my perception, green is grass, green is the colour of the C919’s tail and YES for sure, olive is a shade of green, IMO olive is OLIVE and not true GREEN in the same way turquoise surely has also a certain content of green, but is more a bluish green than true green.

Maybe we could do some sort of colour check by mentioning the exact wavelength ?

are you saying Olive is also a type of blue!? wow….

technically, Olive is a variant of yellow. but blue.. now you’re really pulling my legs..and my pants. <3
