I am not sure but I think it did a pass on another day as well when I had just arrived. I thought at the time it was one operated by the Coastguard (having seen it a Lydd air show a couple of years ago) but I could not see any detail and I did not have my camera out.

    Thanks

    Martin

There is a Coastguard one G-BCEN which was on the first episode of Britian from Above and looks like this http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1101866/ based at Manston and does maritime surveillance and search-and-rescue duties in the Dover Straits area .The other one which you took a picture off is based at headcorn with the parachute club  and dropped the Tiger parachutes off at Eastbourne 🙂

the Eurofighter does similarly as a tribute to the Spitfire and also portraying two great British aircraft (Eurofighter being not purely British ofcourse).

    Jay

Well to me I think the Eurofighter typhoon is British after this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Aerospace_EAP and built under license:cool: Nice shots there like the first shot 😎 I like the typhoon a fantastic plane I like it went it has its afterburnes going noise b*gger 😀

Well during the course of the next 24 hours I shall either be asleep, finely tuning a PA system in a stadium or sitting having a pint in the pub. If I die in either of those three situations I can’t really complain!

    Paul

The Pub sounds good to me with a pint of Spitfire 😎 It maybe intresting to see what results they come up with but do we really need this machine and could the money to built it be spent else where like on cancer?

Was out sailing around Poole Harbour yesterday (sorta, top speed with sails 1.1 Knots) anyway went out along East Lewe Channel, probably had a better view of what was a Bournemouth that the crouds on the Beach (if there were any, couldn’t see that far) so I saw:

    Red arrows x3 flybys Poole + B’mouth
    Catalina x 3 flybys Poole + B’mouth
    Sea Hawk
    Tucano
    King Air
    Glider Display
    Pair of Yaks (?)
    Hunter (i think)
    Gnat
    Lancaster
and a RFA that looked like the truck ferry, gave me a shock (what’s the truck ferry doing over there, and why is it grey?)

The Yaks were Yakovlev, a Hunter can you remember what livery it was? and the truck ferry was RFA Mounts Bay http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/server/show/nav.00h00100500800b002 😉
