LBA is now the new Tec stop point for the RSAF instaed of MAN. This is due to the fact there is’nt much room for them at MAN anymore. Also there is reltivley no restrictions at LBA. While they take no extra room up on the main apron as park over at Multiflight.
The First machine to arrive on thursday morning was 472 which was routing Dover Air Force Base (USA) – LBA – and then on to Saudi. She was the aircraft at LBA just last week when routing to Gender. The second machine 1624 was routing King Abdulaziz, Jeddah (Saudi) – LBA -and on to USA.
Both machines are set to leave LBA with-in the next 48 hours. While 1624 will return to LBA late next week again on her return to Saudi.
great news for LBA  great shots there.

It’s time she reprisented another combat veteran.
mick
She is fine as she is. 😎 she just needs a new coat off paint aswel as Pink Lady.
James
Sounds like all these charters are in to help out the tristars out from what i hear the tristars are struggling to cope with the work load.
Bless them 😀
James
Fab shots there off the Linton on Ouse Graduation 🙂 never knew the french had the Tucano.
James
You are rather adept at displaying your ignorance sometimes James. There are seven flyable Mustangs in England alone 🙂 :
TFC x 2
RACo x 1
Hangar 11 x 1
OFMC x 1
Rob Davies x 1
Maurice Hammond x 1Not counting Robs Lamplough’s ‘Miss Helen’ (still undergoing repairs).
Oh yeah silly me I look next time 😮
James
Looks Brilliant still sad we lost her 🙁 over the pond.
James
Can i just check the timing of the flypast over Buckhingham Palace, is it definitly 13:00.
Cheers
Well unless bad weather then it be at 17:00. but its ment to be nice and sunny.
James
Isn’t Brize the largest Air Force base in the world?
Like I say its the biggest/largest RAF Station in the world. Don’t know what the biggest is but Brize norton must be in the top 5.
You may want to have a look for the thread about the proposed terminal at RAF Valley for an example??
Aren’t all the RAF’s C-130’s moving across to Brize as well? Certainly looks like a busy busy place!
Hi mate yeah they are moving from Nearby RAF base cant remember what it is called I know it starts with a L 😮 Threy are moving I think in 2010 not sure.
the sad thing i saw at Brize was a C-17 landed and it had onborad some troops who died out in Iraq.
Hi luke we saw a AN124 on the Tristar apron when we visited I think they take helicopter’s from nearby RAF Benson.
James
MON had a 757 there last year I think. I saw a 747-200 Air plus comet there when i visited do they do Troop flights. I know Air Luxor has done flights to Falklands.
When the RAF get there A330 will they be based at BZZ?
james
Enjoy the Tigercat when you are there folks. Word has it she is on the move.
Nooooooooooo I like the tigercat where did you hear this info from. But they not displaying her as much as they used too does it cost much to run her?Good too see pink lady will be there 😮 7 P-51 Mustangs where will they come from never knew we had 7 P-51 Mustangs in europe.also good to see the German ME109 coming over to display.

Why would the Reds and Canberra fly out of Manston, if that is the case they will go up the Thames estuary and I won’t see them, nor will Moggy, having his pint outside the Sole Bay Inn and watching them form up over Southwold. By the time they get to Kelvedon, the reserve a/c are still flying alongside the formations, along with the Hawk weather/route planes, they tend to break off just before Chelmsford, round about Hatfield Peveril, I’ve been watching these flypasts for 30 years, 1977 was cool with 4 Vulcans in the practice session, best one was the 50th anniversary of the BoB which was awesome, actually stood outside the Palace for that one, sad to see some of the a/c painted up in pink camo ready for Gulf War 1, how many of those did get shot down I wonder.
Because the red’s are based at MSE this weekend for the Kent air show and others airshows this weekend plus some RAF aircraft I think might base there aswel as the Typhoon. I am wondering if all aircraft taking part in flypast might start at Manston?
James
Good stuff mate, you see any of the gray ones ?
Yeah saw two grey Tristars look brilliant in there new colors shame they where not flying 🙁 they where just siting on the main apron.
If anyone is intrested hear is a site with info about veiwing at BN.http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/spotting/brize_norton.html
James
