Plane has gone, anybody see it go? Floated off on a barge to the north Royal Dock area, location Red Bull temporary airfield. Repair will take 14 weeks and a temporary hangar will be erected.
Where abouts was the Red Bull temporary airfield? And will it do test flights at LCY?
Thought ‘Ouch My **** Hurts’ would be a great title  😀
James
It’s just on lease and isn’t owned by Jet2, which is why it hasn’t been painted in the full scheme, although I must admit, it would more than likely look very nice!
Apparently she’s to be scrapped when she finished her time with Jet2. Poor old plane!
Paul
Yeah I know its on lse from European as I said 😉 I think European are scraping some off there 737 as I am sure i saw some where next year 737-200 are being banned from are skies cant member where I saw it though.
James
Yeh the manager of the aero club owns one. It is a regular on the show circuit.
Thanks Luke mate:D Could not remember if there was one there or not.
James
Looking good there cant wait to see the real thing.

They are all ex BA to the best of my knowledge ? And BA, along with BAE and Boeing proposed to offload their current 767’s for conversion to KC-767 tankers and supply to the RAF to replace the current Tristar and VC-10 tankers.
In the end the RAF opted for the A330 tanker, which should start to enter service in a couple of years.
Yeah that going to be cool an A330 in RAF Colours alongside VC-10’s and Timmys 😀
good information the TriStar’s are gonna be converted to “glass” flightdecks!
SO that could give them longer life flying in the RAF?
James
They are indeed,if not the aircraft would be grounded.Bear in mind they will fly untill 2015,Says it all about a tough built British aircraft!:D
And the Longest Running British Built aircraft ever to fly or is it the Nimrod?
James
The Dunkirk bit is really a backdrop and the plot doesn’t concentrate on it too much at all, rather James McAvoy’s character longing to see Keira again desoite what her little sister did! Nothing like Pearl harbour in effect.
Thanks Robin:cool: Thats looks a nice set there Barry.

In a similar case, Kent County Council have said that they would prefer Kent International Airport to be developed over Lydd Airport, even though Lydd has a wider catchment area in terms of passengers, it is close to natural wetlands and marshes, so the damage caused by the development of services and further expansion there would be much worse than at Kent International Airport…James (Manston Airport) will certainly agree, I am sure!:D
Yes I do Jon plus KIA is already there and set for take off as lydd wanna have the runway bigger taxi ways and a new ramp etc And the natural wetlands and marshes are very nice Scenery to look at aswel as the wildlife and RH&DR. Be doomed by low 737 aircraft.
Glasgow Man I dear you to email that to the Torys if not I will :diablo: 😀

By the way a good freind of mine is a training captain on the RAF VC-10 fleet he says the “best” ex airline Supers are the ex East African aircraft (they have lower hours) and were fitted with the cargo door as standard. He says the ex BA ones are not that good and are high houred!!:D
At least they are still going strong 😀 and are BAe Systems supporting the VC-10?
James
As is the Lanc!! Just forgot to mention it – fantastic models though, a real credit to the builders. I seem to recall that the operators of large models needed some form of CAA approval / licence, is this correct?
I dont know what type off licence but yeah they do the larger models saw it on a prgramme once with Mark Found:D I thought that Lanc was BBMF’s but then I notice the Bounching Bomb 😀 Is the first spitfire shot a model aswel? Great shots there is there 8 Red Arrows or was Red 9 out off the photo.
James
Some off there Tristars are ex BA?
